The greatest deception of this "reform" is that for the next several years it only serves to block any real reform. It keeps the Trial Lawyers in business, it assures the Drug Companies that they will have the Federal Government paying high prices for Drugs that could have been purchased by consumers compeditively in the open market. It destroys insurance companies rather than forcing them to compete, and ultimately chases Doctors from practice making Canadian Healthcare the model of our future regardless of whether they get the "public option" into place.

And this isn't a mistake. If they see aborting children as a health cost control measure, I assure you that Grandma is a bigger savings dead, and they can start that now without even beginning to spend more money. This is their real plan to save Medicare and Social Security. Trim the herd.

Well I just hope Stupak is happy. Pelosi’s little speech last night made it very clear that she has no time for pro life issues.

Comments like “reproductive health” and “Being a woman is no longer a preexisting condition” were not so subtle slaps across Stupak’s face after she got his vote.
