I've been seeing more and more people who are now ready for civil disobedience. This is a big step, and one with risks. It is what it says "disobedience". Not criminal, not violent, not unjustified, either.
If, after the votes are over, the lawsuits are finally settled, we still have Obamacare, or any part of it, it will be time for the civil disobedience. Of course, crap and tax, amnesty for illegals, or anything else is perfectly justified reason for it, as well.
The Declaration of Independence lays down the fundamental principles - when a government fails to work for the people, and becomes an obstruction or burden to our best interests, it is the DUTY of people to change it. That isn't a demand to re-write our government, necessarily, just simply a demand to rewrite its behavior... and if that fails, to then re-constitute something that DOES work.
But how? First, numbers. To get numbers you need media exposure, and leadership.
Second: What to disobey. Well, the first and most obvious, is to en masse, refuse to buy, pay taxes (fines) and overall just fail to cooperate. The IRS cannot prosecute 20 million Americans. It just can't.
Second, if Obamacare is not the issue, then we march on Washington. Not speeches and demands for reason - since they are no longer interested in reason, but have abandoned all integrity, and are simply engaged in a wholesale, illegitemate power grab. No, we take over the offices of OUR government. There aren't enough police in DC to arrest a million of us. No violence, just people exercising their constitutional right. We have the right to petition our government for redress. As far as I'm concerned, that includes taking over the offices of our senators and representatives and the White House itself. One where we DENY them travel, closure, DENY them the power to move.
Until they agree to undo what's been done.
We have that right. It's time we excercised it. Oh, they want to make rules about "bothering" them. They do not comply with our rights.
So, what's it take?
1. A well run online system to sign people up to what needs to be done. To coordinate and inform people of the consequences of what they're about to do.
2. Communication. Back channel and serious communication channels to keep every "body" in the loop, every organization and chapter and so on.
3. Find our allies in office and use them. They must be the ones to open the doors and let in, for instance, to hold and keep the Congress. There ARE people who will work with us. Some of them, too, must beleive it is time to get legitemate government back on track.
4. To have clear goals and clear beliefs. A simple, untwistable and clear set of beliefs and principles and the same plan to carry things out.
That's how to start.
There's no need to talk about armed resistance or violence. Only should the cowards try it first, should we fight back. And that's a LONG LONG ways down the road.
I fear some may shut down interstates.
Fourth of July would be an excellent time - - you know; Declaration of Independence and all!! What are the thoughts of other Freepers?
Refuse to pay taxes. It will close them down in 30 days. Like it says, they cant prosecute everyone.
I was thinking of ripping up my census form. If Congress can ignore the Constitution so can I.

My advice: vote with your wallets. Cutting off the money supply to the big corporate sponsors of the democrat party is a sure fire way to cripple them permanently.
I’d also advise never spending money with corporations that employ union labor. This health care bill was for them. It’s a labor union bailout.
When I see Made in China, Made in Mexico or the union label, I don’t buy it.
If you can't quite get away with that, restrict their access to the company's financial activities ~ e.g. cash registers, accounting, banking, etc.
You can control access to toilets on other than a gender basis ~ the way to do that is promote your non-Democrats by some nearly meaningless differential or grade and assign them the toilet that gets cleaned regularly.
For those of you don't employ others, don't do business with small businessmen who've spoken favorably of the idea of the government taking over their health care responsibilities. They are easy to find.
That's just a start.
Enlist all truckers. They can close DC down tighter than a drum.
Also, why don’t we start an on-going list of sponsor’s of
State-run media evening news. Boycott all of their products.
If they advertise on State-run RAT media, then we stop purchasing their products!! Think it would work?
What about signing up for WIC, foodstamps, medicare, homeless shelters, rehab services, etc?
I don’t know if this is relevant, but perhaps it is. I had a dream last night of Americans protesting across the land. There were some that were laying their bodies down across access points... in the shape of a cross. Others were standing in front of government offices and were just singing the Star Spangled Banner, over and over. And then some were standing in front of city goverments and just reciting the pledge of alligance, over and over. Protest were all peaceful and just reminding us of who we really are. Not what others want us to become.

Yeah it would work. If we go on strike with our wallets against the corporations supporting the liberal machine we’ll see quick results.
We should even go after the big bailout banks: bank of america etc.
But we need someone that has the ability to research these corporations and make a list of all of the bad guys that we should boycott. We work too damn hard to give our money over to the democrat machine.
John Lewis walked into the crowd with his buddies yesterday to provoke them to hurt him and or say nasty things.
Lewis and the other civil rights types have been down this road before and they specialized in doing very deliberate things to nudge the segregationist citizens and government officials to use violence against them.
The victimization of the civil rights protestors at the hands of the southern whites enabled their movement to advance legislation in Congress.
That’s what we would have to do if we chose the route of civil disobedience.
Many are against it, especially those who support the Republican Party and want our energy used for their election to impose tyranny on us at a slower pace than the Democrats.
I’m not committing myself one way or the other, but those who do must be ready and willing to take the blows that will be delivered for their actions.
Civil disobedience is a “cross to bear” and if some of us can’t do it ourselves for whatever reason, we should consider financially supporting those who do.
You have to pay your taxes but you don’t have to let Obama use you investment for his garbage. I recommend as a first step of civil disobedience:

Maybe you did. The room is spinning a little at this point. I'm not sure what the problem might be.
My husband draws retirement pay from the company he worked at along with SS. He has medical through the VA which was promised to him for his service to our country and his wounds he suffered in the jungles of Viet Nam. I was supposed to start drawing SS in June but they will take it all for insurance. Up till now I didn’t have insurance. I just paid cash for Dr. visits which were few and far between. I haven’t been to a Dr. in years. I haven’t needed one. As far as I am concerned they can take their SS and shove it as far as they can. I don’t want their money and I don’t want their insurance. All I want is the money they took from my paychecks for FICA over the years. I just want them to leave us alone. We can do without Drs. What I fear is that they are going to force things on us like this universal ID card. Also they are going to take my husbands retirement away from him.
They say if you don’t send in your census form by April they will send a government thu...errr... worker to visit you.

I suggested this about a year ago, and freepers poo pooed the idea so lets see if time and circumstances have changed any minds.
We can throw the progressive movement right off our backs like a pissed off horse if we are willing. Remember, everything is about people control and we are trapped in the system they created over many years. So stop playing THEIR game! We start having our children at home with midwives and sympathetic health care persons, just like we did 100 years ago. This time we do not register our children into their system. No birth certificate or socialist security card. We home school the children ourselves and teach them skills they can make a living at. They will never pay into the system and the beast will starve.
We built this country with our sweat and blood. Not politicians. The roads the bridges, electrical grid, WE BUILT IT! IT IS OURS!
Some say, well what about drivers licences and such? Well, There are twenty million illegals in the country NOW working, driving and not paying taxes! If you are not on the books, just don’t show up for your court date, after all, you don’t exist. You say, “But they wouldn’t have the right to vote.” WE have the right to vote, how’s that working out for us? Besides we can will them our voter registration cards when we die.
As these “undocumented citizens” go into business, they are guaranteed success because they don’t have to have a business license, don’t pay taxes, don’t have to abide by any labor laws, environmental laws, OSHA laws. How would you like to compete with that!
The Idea is to crash the system and have a large group of people that are truly free and don’t have to answer to the government to pick up the pieces when it falls.

Pulling your children out of school and teaching them a trade isn’t a bad idea...a high school diploma is borderline worthless.
I think you have come up with some very good ideas. I know a woman who had 4 babies at home with no one there but her and her husband. She homeschools and they are raising their children right. Her husband writes pieces for various publications about the use of our tax money and how we have a right to refuse to pay taxes if it is being spent on things like abortion which is against our religion.
I think the right course of action is for 34 states to petition Congress to call an Article V convention for proposing amendments, the goal being to bar FedGov involvement in healthcare.
If you pay your taxes, the government just made you a murderer of innocents.
