>>Were talking about non-violent resistance to the government.<<
Gee wizz, isn’t that what we’ve been freakin doing for several months?

I don't think the answer is civil disobedience. The media would just deride any actions as the acts of right wing kooks, and the feds and governments of blue states would crack down hard. Nor is the answer a republican tidal wave in November, although that would be an improvement. But we cannot expect either a republican or democrat federal legislature to enact legislation or propose constitution amendments, restricting the power and reach of the federal leviathan, using the traditional top-down approach, in which congress sends proposed amendments "down" to the states. That is
their power and reach we're talking about, and we saw in the aftermath of the 1994 tsunami that the GOP, once installed in positions of power and prestige as chairs of important committees and subcommittees, lost all interest in term limits and reducing the size of government.
It is way overdue for the states to pursue the bottom-up approach to amending the constitution to meaningfully restrain the federal leviathan. While the method has never been used, two-thirds of the states may demand a constutional convention. If the states passed similar or identical legislation demanding a convention, specifying membership limited to two or three from each STATE government (e.g., governor, a member of the state house or senate elected by the combined membership of the state house(s), and the state's chief justice), with no representation for any federal officer or elected official, I think we would be assured of a result that would clip the wings of the feds forever.
What a perfect project, too, for the Tea Party movement, which is growingly viewing itself as a constitutional party. Get serious limitations on federal power proposed as amendments and then get the ball rolling for the necessary three quarters of states required for ratification.
CON-CON NOW! It beats civil disobedience and certainly beats the violence which might follow. My belief is that the founders put the provision for the constitional convention in the constitution for exactly the situation we fact today: an out-of-control federal government.

Great! Then start posting ways to defeat the socialists instead of posting self defeating comments that serve no purpose other than to make it easier for BO/BS, Pelosi and their fellow socialists. The millions and growing number who are speaking out against rampant socialism are hardly living in a fantasy world.
What are you going to do to stop and reverse socialism?

Why go half way?
We’ve benn playing around for far too long, letting the left increment their sick marxist agenda and look what we have accomplished with those tactics.
The time for burning tires has long since passed.

Gun owners number about 90,000,000,,,

I think an easy first step to get people ready for stepping things up would be to organize militias in each state. Find some open areas and hold organized tactical training. Build the structures of these militias with leaders and a chain of command.
Joint training with neighboring states could also be a possibility. Just the existence of these militias could be enough to make the scum in DC back down without firing a shot.

"ust the existence of these militias could be enough to make the scum in DC back down without firing a shot."
Not a chance. They'll only "back down" long enough to plan a counter. Tonight's travesty has been in the works for a very long time. If you're going to start forming militias and setting up tactical training, you might want to also start forming concrete battle plans...because the Left will ensure that you need them.

IMHO that is an unknown number,,,
IIRC we put 16 million men under arms to win WWII,,,
10 million would get the job done though...

Don’t forget many of the good states out there are not going to take this lying down. Work on shifting your focus on supporting or pressuring your state to fight against the federal tyranny.
Educate your network of friends, neighbors etc on what is happening and give the them tools to fight back.
Please be careful what you post and who you talk to. There are alot of infiltrators out there who will turn you in when the time comes.
