A few days ago, I wrote a piece called Why Health Care Reform Must Pass. I did so because I kinda figured passage was a done deal. Think about it; would our no-class, narcissist-in-chief postpone his vacation if he couldn't be around to publicly gloat? Would the very politicians committing bribery right in our faces to obtain votes do so it they thought they'd endure a humiliating defeat?
Mr. Parks, have you lost your mind?I prefaced my remarks by referencing my being witness to the ruthlessness of super-majority Democrats in Massachusetts, and later wrote we should be now concentrating on electoral payback in November and working towards repealing the bill.

We’re gonna pull it limb from limb and every democrat who voted for it can consider their political careers over.
Absolutely sickening. But I better not get sick.
Anything can be repealed, if there is the will to do it.
I bet it gets pretty close to that....
vote the suckers out
I know not all of them will be removed but a landslide is coming and it will sweep away a lot of democrats.
Go to your state board and post a call for action. Find your candidates http://www.uselections.com and volunteer to help.Get your friends neighbors and family to pitch in.We can still turn this around but we damn sure won`t if we give in.
That was my point.
Yep. The only reason we still have social security is the lack of political will. However after all these years too many people depend on it to simply take it away.
We have time to exterminiate this health care atrocity.
Did I say EVERY?
However, an ass-whuppin’ is in order.
Well, I pray you both are 100% correct. But, in my heart I know it is not going to happen. But, we need the Senate also. In 2 years the WH. But, again, that is a long time off. If we do not get the House and Senate back, by time the next presidential rolls around we will be North Korea.
As I wrote in the previous post, this summer’s town meetings will be very interesting to watch.
Connie Mack is on C-SPAN now, givin’ ‘em heck! “Unconsitutional power grab!” “Democrats need to stop and listen to the American people... let’s see who’s still here after the American people speak in November!”
We both know that we are done... just waiting for the death counselors to come knocking on our door.
We are working out a plan of attack right now. The idea is to starve the beast. There are some things that are easier to do than others.
For starters:
1. pay as little income tax as possible
2. pay as little “outgo” tax as possible
3. Purchase as little as possible.
My wife and I have 1 and 3 down pat in the following ways:
1. We buy as much non-food items as possible from Craigslist and garage sales. This avoids all sales taxes.
2. We use restaurants based on the 1950’s paradigm. That is, we use them on RARE occasion. And, as of today, it just became significantly more rare.
3. We bought our farm in central Kentucky. We can grow, literall, ALL of our own food. Heck, we just slaughtered our first steer last fall.
Part 2 is more difficult, but there is a solution. I make a low six figure income. However, there are tremendous MLM (multilevel marketing) opportunities. And the tax advantages are HUGE. You deduct every single mile you drive, discuss business at every lunch, combine business with every travel opportunity and get it to where, although you make a “net income” every year, it is as close to zero (while still being positive) as possible.
Then there are the tax advantages of becoming an employee of your business and your business owns everything you “own” from your car to your home.
I’ve toyed with this stuff for a long time but, unless I want to admit that I am just all talk, it is time to take action. It is time to sacrifice as an individual. Our founding fathers risked not just their life and freedom, but also their comfort. Am I to be too afraid of losing what I have to even take the simplest of measures to fight this? I say NO, but time will tell...
I hope and pray that in time I am proven up to the task.
I know the feeling. I am a 49 yo type 1 diabetic who has had it since I was a child. I am still healthy now but sicne I’ve had it this long that could change tomorrow.I am very afraid.
Do you think there will be actual violence against those who voted for it?
San Fran, New York, Washington, Boston... will vote for conservatives?
Really?
