Sorry, FRiends.

Deval Patrick has plenty of his own problems,
which do not include Mitt’s prior impositions
of Mitt’s ideas and Constitution-ripping process
involving improper executive authority.

So why link the two?

It worked out just like conservatives said it would. Want to win? Nominate a conservative.

“Required” to attend? Just who the hell does he think he is?

Romney loves mandates--he's said it himself!

The smart argument is that if the US is is going to crash under Liberalism, make it quick. Under RINOs it’s slower but the end is the same. You have NO ARGUMENT. The US is broke due to BOTH the ‘Rats AND RINOs.

Perhaps parents aren’t as engaged but it’s bad enough we REQUIRE attendance (you can’t force kids to learn, that whole you can lead a horse to water thing). How about, before we require anything of parents we REQUIRE things of the institution...teachers, administrators, etc. They’re reaping the benefits of our taxes in salaries and compensation. We should be the ones setting the standards and then replacing the ones who under perform. This crap about “we’ll take your money and also require you to play in our sandbox like the nanny state we are” is crap.

If you take your car in for a tune up you don’t expect to have to attend a seminar on how to maintain it between visits, especially when you’re paying for their service. Schools have set themselves up on a pedestal for far too long. We’re paying handsomely for a service that we’re not getting. Perhaps it’s about time we acted like the boss instead of the underling.

Sarah Palin may beat Romney on funding for public education. Maybe we'll find out after 2012.

Facts about Sarah Palin (my title)
Via Email | Unknown | [Not unknown. Here it is.] Dewie Whetsell, Alaskan Fisherman

Posted on Sun 11 Oct 2009 01:18:45 AM MST by Neil E. Wright

"2 - Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So, she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called "ACES". Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course the other huge international oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any other governor in the country that has done anything similar."

TRANSCRIPT: Sarah Palin's RNC Speech
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2074322/posts

This was the spirit that brought me to the governor’s office when I took on the old politics as usual in Juneau, when I stood up to the special interests, and the lobbyists, and the Big Oil companies, and the good-old boys...When oil and gas prices went up dramatically and filled up the state treasury, I sent a large share of that revenue back where it belonged: directly to the people of Alaska. And despite fierce opposition from oil company lobbyists, who kind of liked things the way that they were, we broke their monopoly on power and resources. As governor, I insisted on competition and basic fairness to end their control of our state and return it to the people.

...supports extra, "early funding for [public] education" (Alaska State).
