Canada nationalized health care in 1966 under Lester B Pearson. Tommy Douglas (The so called father or medicare) brought it to Saskatchewan (a province) in 1962.
FYI, a foreigner cannot just walk into a Canadian hospital so if Palin’s brother was brought there it seems reasonable to me to assume he paid for it.
It should be noted that Tommy Douglas’ party is a distant 3rd (4th in Quebec) in Canada with almost 0 change of ever forming government
Only Lincoln was more polarizing in our history and that's because the south wanted to grow slavery! Lincoln even tried to avoid war, but the south was committed to break the union.
Lincoln tried to make men Free and unite the country!
Obama is taking our freedoms away and divide the country!
“Reagan was also accused of being polarizing because he had divided the nation into two groups: The 59% of the nation who voted for him and the the 41% who voted against him.”
Funny...:)
“That’s the part I don’t understand. Why is she considered polarizing?”
Just ‘cause (it’s the RAT press)...any other questions?
“Palin is “polarizing” because the media polarizes itself against her.
Why? Because if they don’t, I suspect she will be loved by many, many independents and even some libs.
Therefore out of desperation, the MSM has set all its firepower against her.”
Well put.
“Sarah Palin is the most archetypal mainstream American public figure since Ronald Reagan. To call her “polarizing” is to say that a substantial number of US citizens hate America and everything good that it stands for.”
Great point. Can you believe they’re trying to pawn that story off on us?
“it just makes those who get all wee-weed up and attack her look silly when she laughs it off.”
Sarah Palin has good political instincts, regardless of whatever imperfection you may point to (McCain fundraiser, or whatever else). She’s quite good, and I think smart. I think she’s learning more and more as she goes, as she simply hadn’t had experience in the national spotlight before about 2 years ago. Not bad for someone that is probably a lot like one of us. Well, other than she’s way better looking...:)
Gotta love how the unbiased press gives words with negative connotations to those it opposes.
“Why is she considered polarizing?”
That’s one of the code words that just means, “We libtards don’t like her.” It allows them to avoid saying why they don’t like her.
“Lincoln tried to make men Free and unite the country”
Lincoln took away the South’s right to self-government and set in motion the trends that led us here.
Bipartisanship is a demrat con game. It’s underlying premise is that those who oppose them have no principles they will fight for.
Reagan was 8 points behind Carter 96 hours before election day.
Slavery is a crime against Freedom! Thank God, For Lincoln!
Get Real, The Civil War Is Over!
Well done, newfreep. Bravo.
Lincoln was so polarizing that the Democrats tried to break away from the Union. I guess that makes him the most polarizing President in U.S. History.
“polarizing” “lashes out”
Notice how the media only reserves these phrases for Palin?
back a liberal you’ll get slammed. I think that’s why McCrap has Leslie meeting with President about immigration (because McCraps hands are tied).
