The media is trying SOOOOO hard to make Romney a top GOP pick.

Isn't going to work.

The Arizona Republic has a jihad going on against J D Hayworth and Joe Arpaio. You will never see a positive word on either in that rag, nor on the local network TV stations.

That isn't stopping Hayworth supporters, though, and the support by Romney of McCain will sway SOME of the mormon voters in AZ, but probably not all of them.

The RINOs are lining up together to try and stop the conservatives.

“All politics is local”. I don’t think anyone is going to help McCain this time. Arizona conservatives are pretty PO’d at McCain. The only people I know who are happy with the way McCain conducted his presidential campaign are freeloaders, Arpaio haters and the morons down at the Arizona Republic.

Who Romney endorses means jack. The only thing Romney is good for is a deep pocket.

The real story line will eventually be Romney’s name substituted for Hayworth in this headline.

McCain is a rich old geezer.
Why don’t ancient idiots just retire and left fresh newer blood into this seat ?

Well there goes any hope the Rit Momsey has for even a vice presidential nomination.

Lookin' good on yah Rit! You must have campaign managers who are as dumb as dirt. The electorate is no longer asleep, and have become super intelligent.

Its a whole new world Rit, and you just bit the bullet.

McCain is responsible for the Republican loss against Obama. He did not ask questions about Obamas background, the lack of details, his political affiliations and so on.As a result he ran a wimpish campaign that was a disservice to the electorate.

McCain does not deserve another term in electoral office of any kind.

Rit Momsey is just another elitist Republican, looking to pull a few fast ones on the US public, just like McCain.

BRING ON PALIN, BRING ON SAM DEMINT. They are of presidential caliber.

Mitt Romney's pick of John McCain a blow to J.D. Hayworth camp

I believe most reasonable people would consider Mitt's pick of McCain a positive for JD.

I believe this is a reflection of what is known about Arizona’s insider poll numbers: Not good for J.D. Hayworth.

Muck Fitt Romney. I held my nose and pulled the lever for Juan McLame. I won’t do it for a guy that was elected by the same people that brought us John and Ted for years.

Well, are we surprised that the media support Juan McCain and Mitt Romney?

I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all.

I think it’s a great thing. Palin is supporting Hayworth - I believe (even though she promised McCain to campaign for him) - and that’s better for Hayworth than having Romney supporting him.

Romney and McCain are very similar .. and it’s not unusual to me to see them joining forces against the “new” forces in America .. of which they are not a part. The public is fed up and does not want politics as usual .. they want the real deal.

Romney has slightly more appeal than a dead fish. Sarah Palin is really swimming with sharks now

Not only that but the AZ Republic is the ONLY paper in Arizona. No competition and was a shill for Napolitano.

I will not fall for that trick again although I only voted for John because Sarah was on the ticket. Romney is a liberal through and through.
