Leptin is a curiosity. At first, noting that obese people tend to have a lot of leptin in their blood, the assumption was that leptin was a way for the body to slow down its weight gain.
But leptin didn’t stop or reverse weight gain, so taking it as a weight loss supplement didn’t work. But if it can work to normalize blood sugar, that is good, too.
Could you please post links to your info? You don’t have to tell me a thing about diabetes I’ve lived with it for 40 years and have studied it for the past 30 years. Yes it is common for families that carry the gentic link to t1 to also have t2’s but in all of ,my studies I have yet to see anything like you claim those who have both.
Yes it is very exciting. There are not many breakthroughs when it comes to type 1 since most studies are done on type 2 because it is the most common form.
