GENEVA -- Experts at a U.N. climate meeting have agreed to collect more precise temperature data as part of a global effort to monitor climate change.
The World Meteorological Organization says delegates at a meeting in Antalya, Turkey, approved in principle a British proposal to gather land surface temperature data more frequently and ensure the process is transparent.
The decision comes after e-mails stolen from a British university last year prompted public debate over the reliability of climate change predictions.
Britain's Met Office said Wednesday improved data likely won't result in any substantial changes to existing climate models but could give scientists a better understanding of temperature extremes.

There is no such thing as precise temperature data...My daughter is 60 miles away....and it’s 5 degrees colder there.
The UK Met office said they were going to ‘start over’ ...
Deniers is right, but what else could they do, what they did before was proved to be lies.
STOLEN????
then thank God they were stolen, Washington comPost.
Weather Stations Disappearing Worldwide

NASA will use your temperature and throw out the 5 degree colder temperature. They’ve done this over and over getting rid of “outliers” that mess up their preconceived agenda.
UNaccontable bureaucracies should be dismantled, their bureaucrats defunded, delegitimized and jailed when necessary.
I’d like to see a lot of these people go to jail or put in a public stockade.

SENATE EPW MINORITY RELEASES REPORT ON CRU CONTROVERSY
Shows Scientists Violated Ethics, Reveals Major Disagreements on Climate Science
Washington, D.C.-The Minority Staff of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works released a report today titled, Consensus Exposed: The CRU Controversy. The report covers the controversy surrounding emails and documents released from the University of East Anglias Climatic Research Unit (CRU). It examines the extent to which those emails and documents affect the scientific work of the UNs IPCC, and how revelations of the IPCCs flawed science impacts the EPAs endangerment finding for greenhouse gases.
The report finds that some of the scientists involved in the CRU controversy violated ethical principles governing taxpayer-funded research and possibly federal laws. In addition, the Minority Staff believes the emails and accompanying documents seriously compromise the IPCC-based consensus and its central conclusion that anthropogenic emissions are inexorably leading to environmental catastrophes.

I would tend to a more cruel and unusual punishment for the con-men/criminals/cretins. Things need to heat-up for them.
Thanks for the link. HOORAY Senator Jim Inhofe! Lots of interesting comments at the link.
NEWS FLASH: United Nations downgrades temperature records from TOP SECRET to SECRET!
Good point. That’s what UNaccountable bureaucrats do. AGW/ClimateChange remains viable and so do they.
UNaccontable bureaucracies should be dismantled, their bureaucrats defunded, delegitimized and jailed when necessary.
The only way to catch out temperature monitoring mischief is to solicit several people in the same area in which the official temperatures are taken, as volunteers to take their own daily temperature readings, under strict rules.
I notice that the official temperature taken in my area varies from my own readings by as much as 10 degrees throughout the year. Which is no surprise, those readings being taken at a concrete and asphalt airport.
It is pretty obvious that hanky-panky is going on if the official reading gives one temperature, and four other readings close to it all give a different reading, that is the same for the four.
Then it has to be done on a daily basis, as the official reading tends to cherry pick results and make improper averages. So all the daily results will have to be analyzed by an expert statistician.
