America is in a much similar situation to that of the Carter administration. Once again, a liberal Democrat occupies the White House, and Congress is largely dominated by liberal Democrats once again. Morale is low. Inflation is high. The economy has shrunken significantly. Government spending is at record highs. People firmly believe that America is on its way out, and it seems and there is a firm, almost oppressive feeling in peoples souls that everything is going to progressively get worse, and that we could easily lose our country to a force of determined foreign enemies. To put it in a nutshell, history is repeating itself, and as it was in the days of Carter, so it is once again in the days of Obama
but in a much darker strain. But here is a small comparison to what Jimmy Carter said on July 15th, 1979 and what Barack Obama said on January 28th, 2010.
