I lived in Sacramento for 17 years. My job put me near the top of state government with constant contact with insiders and big time players. It would shock most of the public (though probably not a surprise here)to know the unstable, imperial, and irrational things that go on in the capitol and with these public "servants."

I remember when I was in a meeting with the mucky mucks of the correctional officers union. I asked one of their lobbyists if he wantd to come with us to lunch. he said no, he had to go over to a senator's office and enter a bill into the system so the senator could get it through committee and onto the floor for a vote. He said that was sop. Lost my political virginity that day.
