'Britain knew about Mossad hit'-UK denies report MI6 was told about use of UK passports

UK denies report MI6 was told about use of UK passports before Mabhouh's death.

The British MI6 intelligence agency was tipped off by Mossad that Israeli agents were going to carry out an 'overseas operation' using fake UK passports, the Daily Mail reported Friday morning.

The report came several hours after a 20-minute meeting in London between Israeli Ambassador Ron Prosor and a senior British diplomat on Thursday, over the fake British passports apparently used in the assassination of Hamas military commander Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai.

According to the UK newspaper, a British security source quoted a Mossad agent as saying that "the British Government was told very, very briefly before the operation what was going to happen."

The Mossad used a cell phone to blow an enemy’s head off....neat trick.

The Mossad tracked down and killed each and every one of those involved in the Munich horror.

Either this was NOT Mossad, or that organization has declined horribly.

My money’s on the former

I watched the 27 minute video of the "murder". If, as they say, the Mossad was responsible then I have only one word for it. Bravo.

However, I want to know how the door was locked from the inside with the "chain engaged". And the cause of death was listed as "high blood pressure to the brain". Cerebral hemorrhage?

Dubai wins the gold medal for finger pointing.

Their financial collapse is so well deserved.

Is this going to turn out to be a pilot for a reality show.

None of it makes a bit of sense and is becoming the theater of the absurd. Next thing we know the Salahi’s will be showing up on some surveillance video at the hotel.

I agree, this does not look like Mossad...Too sloppy. Plus they wouldn't have used 11 agents to kill 1 man.. 2 or 3 operatives maybe, but not 11.

It is baffling who to thank for this public service though.

I suspect it was rogue/amateur Israeli elements, or Fatah making a power play against Hamas.

The key is how the passport info was obtained.

The Brit government would wet it’s pants if they thought they made the local jihadis mad.

IMHO, it was Russians. Dunno if was Mafia or “Federal Security Service” or if there is a even difference between the two. But Russkis are ruthless enough to carry out a hit like that and smart enough to divert the blame on everybody else. When everybody is blaming other folks, it only LOOKS sloppy...

“agree, this does not look like Mossad...Too sloppy.”

This “sloppy” argument is so silly.

Assassins, unlike in the movies, are used one time, then go to a desk job. These guys were probably teachers, lawyers, accountants, and tennis players. People you don’t look at twice in the location at issue.

They didn’t get caught, and are back home, growing their beards back, and getting their hair and teeth implants removed, contacts out.

None of them used their own cellphones like CIA spooks in Italy.

None of them got caught.

The arab occupiers of Gaza and the West Bank are blaming each other, and several have been arrested.

Target is DOA.

Looks brilliant to me.

It's not 11, not anymore.

Last I heard, they are looking for 18 people.

The 3 who are already detained are all Palestinians, two from Fatah, the other from Hamas.

I'm surprised that the Dubai Commissioner of Police and the entire Arab press keeps pointing the finger at Mossad, when it turns out that one of the detained Palestinians apparently has confessed to his involvement in the murder.

I hope we learn who did it, and more particularly, who thought up this specific operation.

Everything I've read about the Kidon is that they are the creme de la creme, NOT a couple dozen civilians sent to a foreign capitol to assassinate a target.

Another thing, too, but I have no idea if it is a fact, is that the Mossad has NEVER used any passports belonging to Israelis ever before.

Perhaps there was a TIME sensitive element to this hit which we will learn about some day, and they had to act PROMPTLY or not at all, and consequently it doesn't look like the "normal" work of Mossad -- which, incidentally, I presume that we never actually hear much of anything about.

Zionists can do anything.

Or, could it be, Spiderman?

Everyone makes mistakes I guess, but I tend to agree. I'd add the possibility they wanted the mission known, or equally likely someone else wanted it hung on Mossad. It'll all be forgotten in a couple weeks.

Brilliant? Maybe, this is a confusing one.

Hamas' top arms smuggler, a high profile hit, very high profile. Incompetance, or someone was sending a message to someone.

the Daily Mail reported Friday morning
and naturally, the Daily Mail has unfettered access to British military intelligence of the highest level. Thanks SJackson.
