Christian teacher 'forced out' after complaining Muslim pupils praised 9/11 hijackers 'as heroes'

A Christian teacher yesterday claimed he was forced out of his job after complaining that Muslim pupils as young as eight hailed the September 11 hijackers as heroes.

Nicholas Kafouris, 52, is suing his former school for racial discrimination.

He told a tribunal that he had to leave his £30,000-a-year post because he would not tolerate the 'racist' and 'anti-Semitic' behaviour of Year 4 pupils.

The predominantly Muslim youngsters openly praised Islamic extremists in class and described the September 11 terrorists as 'heroes and martyrs'.

One pupil said: 'Don't touch me, you're a Christian' when he brushed against him.

Others said: 'We want to be Islamic bombers when we grow up', and 'The Christians and Jews are our enemies - you too because you're a Christian'.

Mr Kafouris, a Greek Cypriot, taught for 12 years at Bigland Green Primary School in Tower Hamlets, East London.

According to Ofsted 'almost all' its 465 pupils are from ethnic minorities and a vast proportion do not speak English as a first language.

He says the lack of support from the school has made him clinically depressed and unable to work. He was sacked in April last year.

Teachers who have ethical and/or ethnically motivated issues with students are being offered less and less support by their school’s administration as time goes on.

Even if Britain has an organization equivalent to our ACLU, I imagine they won’t take the case because they themselves are lefties, possibly even open communists.

Regret to inform it's already underway here. It's why my wife and most of her colleagues recently left their positions with the public school system. Parent-teachers conferences grew confrontational, and increasingly abusive (verbally and physically). Their demands that the system accomodate their religious beliefs became intolerable.

I was in London last summer.

I don’t buy this race terminology that the British press is so obsessed with. Jews, Arabs, and Anglo-Saxons are not races. They are all Caucasian. Christians and Muslims are certainly not races.

This is a religious struggle with Muslims trying to force their system on others as they have been doing for 1500 years. Left-liberals are in such denial about this that they desperately try to recast it as a racial issue.

It's more than appropriate that the story posted right after this one is of a poll which claims that the vast majority of Brits feel their country is broken. If I were that teacher the next day their desks would have been covered in bacon grease! I hate to say this but they really have brought this upon themselves by allowing all of these
East Asians, aka Muslims, to emigrate to their country. It's sad but you can see the exact same thing happening in the U.S. in terms of the general unwillingness of Mexicans and Central Americans who in many cases out right refuse to assimilate. In my opinion in both instances it's like having someone camped in your living room who all of a sudden decides that they own your house and are going to decide what the rules are.

A large part of the problem could be solved if England could unshackle herself from Scotland. Passive resistance gets you nowhere good. A teacher who merely performed some symbolic protest would get fired, possibly arrested, unable to find another job, harassed, swamped by legal bills, terrorized...and demonized.
The only passive resistance that might work is if large numbers of people quit supporting the govt economically. And it would appear that there aren’t sufficient numbers in gutless GB.

My surname is an English one but of Norman origin and it has been known in Scotland since at least the 1500s so I don’t know where I belong in this fuss.
