Independent voters see Pres. Obama in a negative light by a nearly 2-1 margin, according to a new Marist College survey, while almost half of voters say he has failed to meet their expectations.
The poll, conducted Feb. 1-3, showed just 44% of registered voters approving of Obama's job as president. 47% disapprove. But among indie voters, Obama's approval rating sits at a terrible 29%, while his disapproval rating is at 57%.
Obama's 44% job approval rating is the lowest he has scored in any non-internet poll since moving into the WH, according to a review of data compiled by Pollster.com.
And while GOPers strive to avoid attacking Obama personally, for fear of offending voters who see him in a favorable light personally, even that aura of invincibility is wearing off. Independent voters view Obama negatively, too, by a 39% favorable to 52% unfavorable margin. All registered voters still see Obama favorably by a 50%-44% margin, but that's down 5 points in just 2 months.

Possibly, considering he's a muslim.
LoL! 90% off L0L!
Let’s hope Barry maintains that downhill momentum.
In this household, Hussein has been holding steady at a 0% approval rating.
Who will be the first brave “mainstream” journalist to:
a. state plainly Obama is not up to the job?
b. state the true disconnect between Obama’s popularity among the general public and the black community?
c. state unequivocaly that Obama is indeed a socialist?
I dare say there are none that I am aware of other than conservative talk radio.
My brother got me one as a joke for my birthday last year. I used it for a White Elephant gift for Christmas. The “winner” is planning to use it as a clay pigeon...
I guess it won’t get recycled next Christmas!
No bird (except a s**tbird) would want to go near that.
The rhetoric never seems to have changed at all; he says everything and means nothing in nice sounding empty phrases. It’s all about him and his personal need to transform the nation to be about him.
Yeah, two more long years. What I don’t get is independents have a low approval of the bum, most of his base is dissatisfied with him and most of his own party is moving away from him and yet they all love the guy. Go figure.
Are they still naming schools after this bum? And of the ones they have, what are the graduation levels like?
