Don't Muslims have some pretty strict rules about washing before prayer? (as shown by some places which have put in washing basins for their Muslim employees). Did the article leave out him spraying down himself with a water bottle, or was he just not worried that his unclean prayers being rejected?

Two transportation stories:

1) I was on a bus in Seattle when the driver pulled over, got out, and went into a fast food joint. She came out with a meal in a bag. I thought if that had hapened in Philly or DC, the driver would be facing a bunch of angry folks, but the people on the bus just sat there.

2) I was on a train in London 30-odd years ago, when they were having the Northern Ireland bombings. The train was one of those compartment types - you opened a door from the platform to get into a compartment holding maybe 4-6. I was in the compartment and opposite me was a paper bag. People kept opening the door, looking at the bag, then backing out. Eventually a policeman comes and asks if it’s my bag. When I say no, the policeman gingerly picks it up and looks inside to find a sweater. I can’t believe that not one of those people warned me it might be a bomb.
