Every morning, sometimes as early as 5:30 a.m., a short religious passage comes across President Obama's BlackBerry, sent by one of his aides.
At other moments, Obama prays privately, his advisers said. And when he takes his family to Camp David on the weekends, a Navy chaplain ministers to them, with the daughters attending a form of Sunday school there.
More than a year into his presidency, Obama has not chosen a church in Washington, and has attended services just four times. No single figure has assumed the role of spiritual adviser -- publicly, at least -- or filled the vacancy created when Obama disavowed his former Chicago pastor, Jeremiah Wright.
When Obama appears at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday morning -- a regular presidential ritual -- it will mark the rare occasion when he puts religion in the foreground. In that appearance, he will discuss "the need for civility in the public square, and how Americans can work together in a spirit of goodwill," a senior administration official said.
Yet close advisers to the president said the role of faith, while subtle, has been noticeable in and around the Obama White House. One senior official described the president as "a prayerful guy." Another said that Obama has consulted religious leaders less often for his own personal guidance than for help walking through major public decisions -- such as during the Afghanistan review process, when he sought advice on the ethical implications of war.

Obama's spirituality is largely private, but it's influential
That must generally be the one stating "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs."
Either that or: "Death to the infidel."

............ALLHU AKBAR..............
I have no problem with anyone keeping their religious and spiritual values personal. I believe results speak louder than showmanship, and to date, his actions have been mostly detrimental to the U.S.
Each begins thusly:
"According to Mohammed, Peace Be Upon Him,....."
Judge him by his fruits...
including the ones he surrounds himself with.
Who cares what his religion is? He is the WORST President ever. He is an anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-free market, anti-freedom, anti-Constitution FREAK. nobama, resign immediately. Do not pass GO.
Have any stealth teams been seen bringing the bodies of aborted babies from the dumpsters around Washington? There are some only blocks from the White House. They would be excellent for a ritual offering them to Satan each morning.
Gag me. Sounds like his speech is going to be a totally political attempt to demonize the side that doesn’t agree with his commie ideas.
This creep gets more hateful and disingenuous every day.
He prays to his Blackberry ?
The problem in his case is nothing he ever does remains private and personal. This man demands public attention and is constantly in everyone's face promoting whatever photo op flavor of the day it is.
So, no. He is not private about spirituality because he thinks it should be private. He simply doesn't want anyone to know what it is if there is any at all.
If Barack H. is praying and destroying America, his spirituality directs him to pray to an entity beneath our feet, not above our heads.
Seems like a lot of things about Obama are influential.........but absent. I wouldn’t say private as I don’t believe he is Christian.
Very private indeed, probably needs to mirror to stare into when worshiping himself.

And what kind of god is it who is pleased with the intent of O’Baal’s agenda?
Rules Christianity out, I don’t believe Jesus gives us the option of having a “private” “spirituality.”
Must be! Has he attended a church, any church, since he's been in office?
“He prays to his Blackberry ?”
O’baalzebub !!
