Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) asked President Obama when he will recognize the positive health solutions put forth by Republicans. (January 29, 2010)
A few weeks ago on Hannity, Newt rattled off a half dozen points, but I've never seen anything in print.
Dollars to donuts, all he says is that he'll "listen" but that doesn't mean hooey; it certainly doesn't mean that he'll think about them, take them seriously, or try to incorporate them into Obamacare - all it means is that he will pay just enough attention while Republicans are speaking, that he could take notes, and then he'll go on about attempting to ram his unchanged agenda down the throat of every American nonetheless.
BO/BS doesn’t recognize the American people let alone the OP.
They ought to put together a complete plan and then submit it to the American People by going on every show, calling press conferences, screaming like wolves at the moon....and ask the public to let the administration which which one they prefer.
I wonder if the reason they done something like this is they aren’t able to put a plan together that is much better? Wasn’t the Contract With America presented something like this?
I believe this is it: http://rsc.tomprice.house.gov/Solutions/EmpoweringPatientsFirstAct.htm
I should mention too, Price is an M.D.
Interesting.
Isn’t one of the bigger problems people who aren’t insured and then use the emergency room for their personal doctor?
I’ve thought there should be a national major medical pool for those who can’t get other insurance. But still, as long as any uninsured person can walk into the emergency room we’ve still got a big problem. Lots of people would rather have the fancy cell phone etc before they’d pay a monthly bill for health insurance because there don’t seem to be much in the way of consequences.
Excellent points! I’ll re do this thing. As I said, it was just a quick bunch of thoughts that popped into my pea brain.
Once health care is “free” (people are insulated from the costs of their care), then even more people will go to ER’s than before. It’s happened in Massachusetts, and I’ve seen it in military ER’s. We need to allow ER’s to triage people and then turn them away if it’s something that can wait (non-emergent care).
