Britain's Times newspaper, citing unidentified sources, reported that al Mabhouh's body was found by staff at the luxury Al Bustan Rotana hotel.

It claims a hit squad injected him with a drug that induced a heart attack, photographed all the documents in his briefcase, and left a "do not disturb" sign on the door.

Ok so let me get this straight -

The Palestinians and all their evil ilk are allowed to kill every Jew in sight and it gets treated as NON-NEWS but the Mossad eliminates one of the leaders of these terrorists groups implicated in conducting terrorist operations and its been now heralded as World News??

Daniel Silva writes Mossadish novels. His first 5 or 6 were brilliant.

This is terrible. The man should have been read his rights and given a public criminal trial, with a govt.-funded defense lawyer. How else can Israel ever gain the respect of the Muslims? /s

Sounds a bit James Bondish for credibility. Usually the Mossad simply shoots such scum.

Just beautiful. Life imitates art -- this is the stuff we usually see only in movies.

Maybe Mossad is developing a sense of humor.

Were any pork by-products involved?

So who wrote the Israel Bond spoofs of James Bond novels back in the mid 1960s?

The beauty of having this MO, or just being believed to have this MO is that the bad guys think you got to him and compromised all the intel in his possession at the time even if the freak just had a heart attack and died.

I love the use of the “Do Not Disturb” sign.

First, this guy was “disturbed”: in fact, something of a psychopath.

Then they came into his room, and again he was (in a different way) disturbed.

And then they leave that sign.

I think that this job was done very neatly, and even very humanely.

If this was Mosaad, they did a good thing. If it was someone else, well maybe they did not have such justifiable motives, but they also did a good thing inadvertently.

Sol Weinstein? I had to look it up. My public library does not hold any of his books.

How do they know that the intruders photographed all the documents in the briefcase? Why did they not just take the documents? Are they sure that all the documents were photographed, and not just some? What sort of evidence is left behind when a document is photographed? (None, really.)

How do we know that this guy did not just die of a heart-attack? If there is an injection mark, how do they know if it is connected with his heart-attack? Can’t someone put a do-not-disturb sign on his own door, and lie down for a nice rest, and then die?

Who are these suspects with “European passports”? Its a big Europe out there! Where are the suspects? What is the evidence?

Maybe photographs are taken of documents because a tiny camera is much easier to conceal than a suitcase of documents; AND it turns out that the Dubai LEOs extradited two Palestinians who had vanished and were located in Jordan. These two Palestinians are still detained and being interrogated — so perhaps THEY had a camera which contained the proof that the documents were photographed??? The Palestinian Authority refuses to release the identity of either of the two detainees, but it has stated that (at least) one of them is a Palestinian Authority OFFICIAL.

Thanks for the tip; what is the last good novel you've read of late? Title/Author??

Thanks again.

Currently on Thomas Wolfe - Look Homeward, Angel.

Just finished a bunch of P.D. James - 'Desires and Devices' was the best so far.

Also, Erskine Childers - Riddles in the Sand. That was a good spy novel.
