"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clintons dont ask, dont tell, dont pursue military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nations military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."
Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney

So you're in Iraq and some of the local mullahs find out there's this gay guy in your unit.
Hmm ~ send him to town to buy some babaganoush?
Obama has no idea what he's dealing with.

Yeah, I don’t think these Chiefs of Staff lackeys will threaten to retire like the real leaders did when Clinton pushed this.

Please let there be a sustained closeup on him as the petty tyrant loses his relaxed, angelic, smooth profile and the whole world realizes there’s nothing but a monster behind the teleprompter when the deceptive mannerisms slide away like a cheap disguise and leave him exposed.

This actually has nothing to do with "gays".
It's all about creating an instant avalanche of lawsuits against and courts marshal of our troops; and also demoralizing and weakening our military.
Mister Ayers, I suspect, has had something to do with this.

Once you start giving, you cannot stop.
Once you let open gays in the military you will need a new bureaucracy to look out for their “rights”. Sarge better not yell and make them cry!
And thats just for starters.

Romney once advocated allowing gays to serve openly in the militarybut over the weekend, he revealed a change of heart.
” ‘Don’t ask, don’t tell’ has worked well. We’re in the middle of a conflict. Now is not the time for a change in that regard, and I don’t have a policy posture as to allowing gays in the military to serve there openly,” Romney, a presidential candidate, said on ABC’s “This Week.”

lol. Who is going to stop him?
Actually, I expect him to find a way to not enforce don’t ask and don’t tell. I also expect recruitment is going to fall.
