Lets Tell AP Board: No Teabag!
Posted by minncon (Profile)

AP published a piece by Charles Babington recently in which it used the word teabaggers to describe supporters of the Tea Party movement. As many elsewhere on the web (h/t to Hotair.com) have noted, by using it AP is mainstreaming the obnoxious term. Lets say enough.
Im writing every board member of AP and objecting, and I hope you will join me. Below are some AP board members and contact information ... If you come up with better info, please post...
NOTE: Most of the board members also hold high positions at member news outlets, so our objections may just do double duty.

Teabagging deniers ...
“I just checked the piece to which Redstate.com linked. The phrase tea party apparently has replaced teabaggers.”
AHA! It worked!
what will they call us next...cokcsuckers
I think that from now on we should start reffering to all media types a Oasskissers.
The more you complain about it, the more they will use that term. It’s just who they are. A better strategy: Start using the term “Teabagged” to describe what happened to the liberals in Massachusetts. One thing about liberals is that they can dish it out, but they can’t take it themselves.
From this day forward, our response to being called “teabaggers” is to politely refer to the Dems as “D-bags”...
please pass it on....
I’ve been calling them the enemedia for years.
a homosexual content word describing scrotum on eyelids whilst engaging in fellatio or oral-anal stimulation....how low have we fallen publicly
I don’t understand why folks are so sensitive about this. The only people that understand the “joke” are a bunch of snickering faggots and the media elite that hang with them. Who cares about them? They are politically unredeemable.
Normal people don’t even know what “teabagging” means in it’s insulting form. It’s really only an insult if you accept the bad guy’s meaning. And the only ones that are so sensitive are political junkies. It seems to me the fags have gotten their goats.
I don’t really care. When I “teabag” or “tea party”, I send teabags to elected representatives. When they teabag, it’s perverted; so it’s kind of their disgusting little problem, not mine.
Absolutely! I would rather be called a "Teabagger" and win elections like Mass than be the one who calls names and loses credibility because I have to resort to bribery and secrecy to advance my agenda!
In addition to the examples already given I would suggest “worthless MFers” to describe the left.
The problem is that the left is given a free pass to describe us any way they desire.
Liberals think that by defining correct English usage, they can control discourse. Wrong. Let them call us what they like.
They call us “teabaggers” just to get a reaction and to piss us off. Typical commie/Alinsky tactics. I’ve grown to accept the term “tea bagger” and refuse to acknowledge the negative connotation. I think we all should accept it. As big a numbers as we have, we can take it. We’re the ones fighting for freedom and liberty, we’re right and we know it!
“I dont understand why folks are so sensitive about this. The only people that understand the joke are a bunch of snickering faggots and the media elite that hang with them.”
Ignoring this kind of snickering ALWAYS makes it worse...taking the high road is not the answer...pointing out the gutter they are standing in is...you don’t get into it, you point DOWN at it...
This is how they work...make it derisive, use a term that makes people curious, make it so that it really mocks deeply, not just lightly...we can ignore it...you know, like they ignored the Tea Parties...how did that work out for THEM?
I don’t beg the Enemy.
Isn’t it crazy that they are “name-calling’, the very voters that they want to woo? I say let them dig their own graves. I hope they keep using the term right up until the 2010 elections.
” In addition to the examples already given I would suggest worthless MFers to describe the left.”
OK, maybe I was a little florid in my last post. I should have said “snickering friends of Dorothy.”
I don’t think we should ignore it, we should adopt it.
There are so many of us we can ruin the word for them.
Signed, a proud Teabagger.
Exactly. Listen to the howls of outrage if someone says Obama will get teabagged in ‘12.
'Fisters' works too.
What do you find degrading?
Let the LameStreamMedia continue to insult everyday Americans fed up with their elitism. Keep diggin’ that hole deeper!
“....let them use whatever they want.....the independents can make up their minds who they wish to stand with...losing name callers or American lovers of freedom.”
Kind of like John Mccain did, as opposed to calling them out on their evil strategies like Sarah Palin did?
And, here is an AP post that was changed already...with a little effort to point out to them that what was being said was filthy...so, maybe it works both ways?
Maybe calmly pointing out that the degenerate low life is using names you wouldn’t allow in your home isn’t really all that bad?
Something to think about, I guess...
Personally, I say let’s dispense with the “if.” Just do it.
Obama himself has used the term, so he can’t complain.
zer0, pelosi, schumer, reed, frank and the rest of the donks were teabagged on tuesday.
no other way to look at it.
feel good about doing it...
There is another approach:
Recall the British derisively referred to American colonists as “Yankee Doodles”.
We made into a proud, patriotic marching song and kicked them out. :)
Because I would be crucified if I called a rat a fudgepacker during an interview. All I want is a level playing field and a consistent set of rules.
Alway like the lying liberal left. The party of everything gay uses a disgusting gay sex act term to describe people they do not like. Just like they love calling Rush Limbaugh a big “FAT” idiot...they are the party of tolerant...remember, they incessantly preach how they, and not the right, especially Christians, are tolerant. EVERYONE else is intolerant and LIBERAL must be empowered to enact laws to get us to conform.
But...don’t talk about their vast part in the KKK and their part in the Slavery history of the US. These people want only to talk about gun sights with intolerant bible references on them and how a manger scene in a town square is EVIL and on and on and on. Oh, and those rottone TEABAGGERS...yep they want the reference without any question...they are the tolerant left!
Love it.

The dangerous part of ignoring the war on conservative philosophy and culture and the degeneration of the language of culture is summed up by the term fisting; it was unknown to most of us until the left introduced it to the general language in an attempt to promote the artwork of a most unsavory type - Mappelthorpe, now considered a hero by the left - with the use of federal funds...in order to understand WHY it was unacceptable, people had to become aware of what it actually meant; it had to have BROAD public understanding to see what exactly it was that the so-called "small band of leftists" or "the politically irredeemable" (who happen to be ruining our country at the moment) were doing...in my opinion, it is unfortunate, but these attacks on us and our culture should be met with forceful and determined resistance, not by ignoring it. As the left found out with Tea Parties, you ignore movements, popular opinion and societal shifts at your peril.
And pointing into the gutter and calling attention to the snakes and vipers that clog it up is NOT "begging your enemy" or "taking the highroad" it is avoiding the possibility of having the gutter overrun the street...
We should know more accept this slimy offense to decency anymore than we did that of the Mapplethorpe Exhibits. Let's define them for those who want to choose sides. This isn't whining, this is calling them out, something we need to do more, not less.
Scott Brown ran on going to the Senate and being #41. He called them out. That's how to win.
Look up the history of “Yankee Doodle”.
We are far better off adopting the term as our own. Even now, after less than a year, there are far more political overtones to the term than sexual.
The minute we object, we have lost our advantage. Stand strong, stand proud and turn their derision against them.
I’ve noticed that after 3 elections , Dems are getting the message that they are on the losing end of the deal. Suddenly they seem to be using the term less since they are the ones being defiled , figuratively, politically or any other way any one looks at it. Since they are the ones getting teabagged I am starting to get the joke and it seems they understand they are on the receiving end. With that said, I just as soon see the toilet humor disappear but right now , if they want to continue it, they are the ones getting teabagged and once again they end up the butt of their own sleazeball jokes.
“The minute we object, we have lost our advantage.”
I honestly do not understand; What advantage is lost?
“From this day forward, our response to being called teabaggers is to politely refer to the Dems as D-bags...
please pass it on....”
Excellent! I too am disgusted with the continued use of “teabagger” and this will give good rejoinder.
The left is always trying to create side issues to defocus conservatives. Recognize those efforts for what they are.
Gay marriage is a perfect example. Threatening to tax stock trades is another.
Look up the history of Yankee Doodle.
Yeah...they were calling us ragtag army...they weren’t calling us “Horse Buggers.”
Not a name we would have embraced, I don’t think.
“Or refer to them as teabagees “
Ohhhh...that’s good...
Point is, by accepting the term, AP is accepting the knowing usage of a factual error. That OUGHT to mean something to them.
To “sandbag” means to hit with telling blows (think of how heavy a bag of sand is). Why not “teabag” in the same sense?
“Point is, by accepting the term, AP is accepting the knowing usage of a factual error. That OUGHT to mean something to them.”
I think their correction of this latest story tells us that...pressure works and we don’t need to get in the gutter to bring it...
Suggest to them to do a Google image search using the term...
“To sandbag means to hit with telling blows (think of how heavy a bag of sand is). Why not teabag in the same sense?”
To “Pack Fudge” means to...
Charming, isn’t it? I know it’s becoming another term of endearment that they can use with impunity...while we say “big deal”...well, it is a big deal...we don’t have to fight the scum on the left over it, just point out that it has no place in civil public discourse.
