It’s a good thing someone in Basalt is paying attention. The victim of the Basalt 7-Eleven armed robbery spotted the knife-wielding, illegal alien in a local gin mill and called him in. Amazingly, the Basalt cops couldn’t find the felon, who was living in the trailer park next to the store he had robbed.
Makes one wonder if Basalt’s boys in blue could find their butts in the dark with both hands. Twenty-five years ago, two officers did a better job than Ikeda’s dozen donut-dunkers do now.
That trailer park is Basalt’s version of East Los Angeles replete with gang bangers and illegals. Misguided liberal philosophy is the foundation of the legal laxity that has made our valley a criminal sanctuary.
I bet even an imaginative dirt pimp must find it difficult to do business with that social embarrassment squatting in the heart of beautiful downtown Basalt.
If quality of life matters, then we need to enforce our immigration laws. Or vote in officials who will.
Immigration laws are rarely enforced in Hawaii , the entire statewide demographic is already almost forever altered by illegal Hispanic immigration . As soon as any young Hispanics from south of the border get here they start making babies and all those sweet little babies are Hawaii born . So they ALL stay . TSA is turning an official ‘blind eye’ to the massive use of fake ID to board US carrier aircraft . Why does this only matter when it’s muslim terrorists flying from Europe .
1000 times a month illegals board planes to Hawaii on fake ID and TSA / the Feds know it , but they do nothing . No profiling . God forbid it!
Streams of whistle blower reports go ignored and the illegals stream in . To a very finite land mass and a very fragile economy . None of them swim or come by boat (yet)
Aspen needs all the illegal help. So this stuff is tolerated.
unless there is MONEY to be EXTRACTED the Police DON’T CARE. they are defacto Tax Collectors. Did you ever wonder why our Constitution says That “all cases of common law where the controversy is greater than $20, trial by jury shall be preserved” and anyone charged with a criminal offense also has the right to a Jury Trial. So where do Infractions fall under our CONSTITUTION? California Made them Up and everybody else followed suit. The time is near for the people to rise up against the Looters. enough is enough
