The head of health at the Council of Europe, Wolfgang Wodarg, called the swine flu scare a “false pandemic” orchestrated by drug companies looking pull in large profits from the vaccines.
Saying it was “one of the greatest medicine scandals of the century,” Wodark said, “[Swine flu] is just a normal kind of flu. It does not cause a tenth of deaths caused by the classic seasonal flu. The great campaign of panic we have seen provided a golden opportunity for representatives from labs who knew they would hit the jackpot in the case of a pandemic being declared.”
The WHO recently reaffirmed its position, saying that the pandemic is not over despite the number of swine flu deaths being dramatically lower than expected.
“We must make sure people can rely on the analysis and expertise of national and international public institutions,” said Wodark, “The latter are not discredited, because million of people have been vaccinated with products with inherent possible health risks.”
No they just changed the definition of pandemic.

It’s kinda strange that I just happen to know people who died from it and some who nearly died. That’s usually not true of communicable diseases.
It wasn’t the pharmaceutical industry pushing this thing.
If anybody had an interest in perpetrating a scare, it was the Obama administration, but I don’t see this either. They did their bit, but mostly it was public/media getting too excited in the way of madness of crowds.
I think it’s one of those situations where if you weren’t affected, it was no big deal. If you were, it was very serious. Sad that children died from it (or anyone really). That being said, a few weeks ago my daughter and I went to the mall and there was a line of people going all the way through the mall and back down half way. We didn’t know at the time, but we found it was for free swine flu shots. All ages. There had to be close to 2,000 people there. I said I’d take my chances. I did have the regular flu shot but that was quick and easy. Glad you recovered, though.

It’s a “false” pandemic okay, but one with a very real purpose. They’re scrambling for the next crisis to establish martial law so that they can suspend elections and seal the deal once for all as supreme power over the citizens.
Very simple and I’m no conspiracy nut but we see how they’re moving—they are not hiding anything.
Sorry you experienced this. Not to minimize your illness, but was it any worse than a ‘normal’ flu where 50k+ people die every year? Granted, you were dealt the bad card, but didn’t the gov hype it? Standing lines in bad weather, doling out vaccines to the ‘privileged’ classes and all that. I’m really glad you’re here.

NOW, they have so much vaccine left over, they don’t want it to go to waste...
Level headed, that’s what’s needed around the country. Americans are not buying into all the liberal crap that everything is bad, and nothing we can do unless we embrace government will fix anything. We’re not buying the MSM’s force fed crap anymore. The American people see what government is doing, and we DON’T WANT IT. And we’ll remove from office, or engage in civil disobedience. It’s us or them, and US will win.
The new official definition of “pandemic” now is “a communicable disease that the government wants the population to be scared of.”
I am a perfectly healthy person who eats organic and keeps on top of health issues, works out, etc.
The H1N1 in December nearly killed me in 4 days. I had terrible pneumonia. Still do not feel completely well ever. Thank G-d for heavy antibiotics or I would be dead today.
I’ve had flus before but nothing like this.
So NO, I do not think it was only hype. They hyped up the vaccine, true, but we lost a lot of healthy people so far to this flu. It is BULLPOOP that this flu can only seriously hurt those who had pre-existing conditions. It can be a killer for the healthy as well.
Absolutely, it was the flu, regular old everyday flu. If H1N1 was a legit pandemic then every flu season is a pandemic and now the word has no meaning.

The pictures posted all over the internet with everyone wearing the surgical masks in Asia helped to hype the hysteria and 0bama is not about to let a good crisis go to waste.
Spent four days in ICU Isolation ... very very sick. BP down to 70/30 ... kidneys failed. Not something I would recommend. All this 3 days after my lover had suddenly past away.
By that basic definition, H1N1 absolutely WAS (still is?) a pandemic, as it has spread worldwide.
The problem seems to be (typical) MSM ignorance of what the word "pandemic" means and what it implies.

I’ve been praying I don’t get this strain. Organic, you need to research the microbes associated with it and it’s ability to manifest more diseases due to feces contamination.
Remember the spinach recall, organic orgin? I’m glad you’re here and on the mend. But you have to admit, the gov hyped this flu, 5k vs 50k annual deaths. Did you get a shot? Or were you ‘denied’?

After a 31 yr. career in LE and still in the court system although retired, I see these power grabs all the time in local politics and they sure can get dirty and destroy folk’s reputations, families and careers what with the “professional” false witnesses on the prowl.
This in rural Texas. So our little circle of friends have stepped up to the plate, there’s several in JP positions, county commissioner slots, school board but it’s an eye-opener for J.Q. Citizen that just wants to see the right thing done, not sure if it’s worth it.

The left learned a very valuable lesson from Y2K and that was that it's a lot easier to milk a panic if it doesn't have a pesky little expiration date attached to it.

Scared the H out of people but got them to get ineffective shots. (shots lost potency)
I know someone at CDC... I asked him if this was all hype. He obviously thinks their work is very important, but he admitted that fewer people were dying from this flu than from the usual flu that comes every year.
I think they were using this as a test case, like a war game, testing out their procedures for responding to a bio attack.
But really, I think this was quid pro quo to the pharmaceutical companies who were big donors. And I think they are laying the groundwork to be able to legally oblige people to take a vaccine. They generate a panic and then the sheriff accompanies the public health team coming to your jobsite. This isn’t about health but about establishing a legal precedent. I think.
For my part, I’ve never had a flu shot in my life. Most years I don’t get sick at all. Once every few years I might have some flu-like symptoms for a couple of days; you go to bed and drink liquids and in a day or two you’re fine.

The sad thing is, I can’t say if you’re right or not. It’s entirely possible.
My wife got both shots this year, normal influenza and H1N1 vaccines. I didn’t get either. She got ill three times between one and three weeks each. She exposed me to it.
I didn’t get sick once.
That’s life. LOL

Global warming hoax actually spans two centuries. Somebody claimed it started by European Greenie Trash about thirty years ago.

Today is my first day of work this year as I contacted it (or began showing symptoms) on New Year’s Eve. I had a high fever for four days and I don’t remember ever being so sick in my 40+ years of my adult life. Nothing to mess with - still getting back on my feet. Now as to how communicable it is, I’d say not that easy, as only a few I know have gotten it. But to those that have, don’t mess with it; real, real serious.

Then I read stuff like the above and I don't know what to think. On the one hand, fewer deaths than the usual flu. On the other hand, the people who get it get hit hard and fast.
Maybe I'm comparing apples and oranges. My pal at CDC thinks they get some credit, I think. Maybe they do. Me, my natural paranoia makes me suspicious of stuff like this, especially when I don't know anyone who has it. Maybe thats what FR is good for; now I (sort of) do.
So I am guessing that you developed a respiratory problem from the flu? If they gave you antibiotics for the just flu you were not receiving top notch care. Just curious what is your age group?
