You mean Andy Stern wasn’t invited? Or will he be sitting in the shadows for this one?
The chances of one judge in one Federal court striking down the law is pretty good, then the march up to the SCOTUS. The who knows what could happen. They could punt and tell the lower court that they overstepped, thereby being against the bills intentions but really for it becuase they failed to intervene. Would make alot of hardcore conservitives look a little hypocritical when alomst universally we think Marbury v. Madison is bad law yet we are asking for relief based on it.
I agree that it looks hypocritical to ask the SC to do something many of us think they have no business doing. But it’s the state of the “industry” today. The shameful reality of Marbury vs Madison is that Justice Kennedy is essentially the King of the US. As the most wavering justice, many times it is Kennedy alone who decides the meaning of the US Constitution.
Maryland "Freak State" PING!
That's so they can whine later on that Republicans haven't brought anything to the table.
“Sen. Barack Obama first pledged opening up legislative negotiations to C-SPAN cameras during a Democratic presidential primary debate with Sen. Hillary Clinton in Los Angeles on Jan. 31, 2008.

“The head of C-SPAN has implored Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public, as top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves.
C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb wrote to leaders in the House and Senate Dec. 30 urging them to open “all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings,” to televised coverage on his network.
“The C-SPAN networks will commit the necessary resources to covering all of the sessions LIVE and in their entirety,” he wrote.

Another broken promise.
So I called my congressman and senators today, and told them to do what they can to make sure their constituents get to SEE the healthcare debate as Obama promised.
Sean played a couple of clips today where Obama promised that the healthcare debate would be on C-Span. Did anybody hear it?
“Republicans were not invited to todays meeting.”
How many meetings were the Republicans locked out of since January 20, 2009? THIS IS NOT TRANSPARENCY NANCY PIGLOSI!
WE ARE MAD and something is going to go down because of this outrage! I cannot count the days fast enough until November 2, 2010! And my wallet is opening up this year to EVERY DECENT REPUBLICAN RUNNING AGAINST A DEMOCRAT IN EVERY STATE!
