Shades of Viet Nam. Are these Jihadists vying to be the new spit-on-the-troops hippies? I don't want any returning soldiers treated this way, especially not in the US. Any counter protests should include signs both supporting the troops and calling for the physical expulsion of the Islamists. The war at home may now be starting.

I agree that almost everything out there is propaganda, but I must admit when I saw the picture of those Muslims, it shouted “EVIL” at the top of its lungs.

One of the goals of the the ‘war on terror’ (to use the US government venacular) was to offer potential Muslim extremist an alternative to Jihad. With so little freedom of any kind and never ending tyrrany from people like Saddam, King Faud, and others, Jihad has given many Muslims there only outlet for change.
The idea of inserting democracy into Iraq was a way to offer Muslims a different choice. For all the the criticism of GW Bush, his plan for Iraq is still the only plan with any long-term up-side potential. As Iraq gets stronger and free-er, and people start to benefit as a result; perhaps Jihad gets weaker.
Dictatorships in the Middle East are too rigid and are destined to topple like a fence in a strong wind when pressured. The other side of the coin is the anarchy that exists in much of Africa. Total freedom yields a rudderless society and total chaos that you see in Rwanda.
Democracy is an absolute mess like any form of governmet but, it offers one thing that the other forms of government can never even hope to offer....the mechanisms to maintain stability during times of change and the mechanisms to maintain change during times of stability. This is it’s beauty....and why it was the right thing to see if it would work in Iraq.
If Democracy fails in the Muslim lands as you suggest, then get ready for WW III because freedom is never going to be able to compromise with Sharia law in any way that means anything to you and me.

Enoch Powell predicted “Rivers of Blood” would result in from unrestricted immigration. He thought the waves of Carribean blacks would provide the tipping point. He got that detail wrong. I doubt he ever imagined the tsunami of Mohammedans that would later innundate Britain.
