Janet Napolitano - the system worked?

 

That's what our Secretary of Homeland Security said after a terrorist was caught trying to make and detonate a bomb aboard a plane over the holiday. Napolitano is catching some heat for saying 'the system worked' when in reality it didn't work, and passengers had to stop the threat.  Glenn plays the comments from the Secretary and explains what 'safe' travel would really look like. Birthers Birthing

Just like the notorious 'seminar callers' Rush talks about, there is a new type of seminar caller out there trying to get on talk radio: the birther. Sure, there are plenty of idiots out there who actually think Barack Obama was not born in the United States and this is a way to get him impeached. But most reasonable people don't believe that. It's so ridiculous that it's actually a good distraction for Obama, because it's an easy win for him and distracts from the real issues. Is that why so many birthers seem to be on different talk shows lately? Glenn explains. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)

Healthcare a right?

It hasn't ever been a right in the Constitution, but that's not stopping our fearless senator from declaring it one. According to Senator Tom Harkin, this healthcare bill will go against the will of the founders: 

"What this bill does is we finally take that step.  As our leader said earlier, we take that step from healthcare as a privilege to healthcare as an inalienable right of every single American citizen."

Regarding Obama’s eligibility, Glen Beck is WRONG to dismiss it. There is plenty about Obama’s past to legitimately question.

I hope the pressure on him and the other weenie so-called conservative yappers will continue. Personally, it is my hope that enough people call in that his and the other yapper phone lines are totally clogged.

Polls show that 51% of Republicans and 30% of the general population do not even think that Obama was born in the U.S. Those percentages would be **FAR** higher if those who have questions were added to that. ALL these Americans can not be totally STUPID!

As Obama’s popularity nose dives the numbers of Americans questioning Obama’s eligibility will continue to increase!

As the 2010 elections approaches the issue of Obama’s eligibility WILL NOT GO AWAY. There is NO WAY that Beck, Rush, Hannity, and the other weenie yappers can tip toe around that stinking 2 ton dead carcass of Obama’s eligibility blocking the road to the election booth!

I agree. I don't think Rush has put down any Birthers so far. He just avoids the issue and agrees with Birthers that they are doing a good job. Glenn, on the other hand, diced the Birthers by insulting them as though they were nothing but idiot trash. He just lost a faithful viewer today. Don't know if I will watch his show again. I even bought his books “common sense” and “arguing with idiots”. He needs to review his own statements like “question with boldness”

Except for one or two clips that I found here on Free Republic I have never seen his show.

You can be certain that I will NEVER **buy** one of his books! There is plenty to be curious about regarding Obama’s past and his natural born status. I now **KNOW** that Beck is an idiot!

Hmmm...

I think there is something in the present occupant's past that is being hidden and I believe the public has a right to know what it is. Whether it is place of birth I'm not sure, but the circumstances, especially the amount of money being spent to keep the cases out of court, convince me there is a politically damaging secret being kept.

But the American Grand Jury hasn't presented a billable set of specific accusations. They keep saying treason and so it seems from my point of view as well - but what specific thing(s) is treasonous they never say.

Beck, Rush, etc. are not going to put them on based on what they have said so far.
