First of all, JD has only been talking about it and a certain percentage of people will only support someone who has jumped into the ring. So with that said, the fact that JD polls even with McCain is skewed to McCain and/or Simcox because JD is still not a sure thing to garner dedicated support.

My take on Simcox is that it is all about him but then again when is it not for the typical politician.

Then later in the piece, John Kyl utters this ignorant crap on the courts vs. Arpio squabble;
“Obviously, Senator McCain and I are back in Washington. We’ve been a little busy,” Kyl said Tuesday during a news conference with McCain in Phoenix. “I think it would be very difficult for us to get the kind of information that we would need in order to weigh in in a persuasive way with the court system here, or in some other way.”

Hey John, it is your state, you know? Sorry, I did not mean to distract you from your cocktail parties in Georgetown.

McCain is full blown RINO and Kyl is RINO light. Somebody needs to grab Simcox by the collar and tell him to get back down to the border and do what he thinks he does best and support the guy who has a fighting chance have a clean shot at retiring the RINO in chief and fulfilling the objectives of your group. But then again, maybe Simcox is only worried about JD eliminating the need for his group and in such leaving him to find something else to make a living with.

And MememeCain coasts to victory, and illegal al...er, uh, “undocumented workers” get a foot further in the door of the country and a step closer to increasing union memberships.

If Simcox is not taken seriously by the majority of conservative voters, then JD can still actually win the GOP Primary. If JD successfully attacks McCain’s RINO, maverick tendencies as well as successfully attacks Simcox for not being a serious candidate for this U.S. Senate seat, then JD can do well in the GOP Primary. JD, still, has to officially enter this race, first.

I sure get tired of this Kyl bashing. He is one of the most profoundly conservative senators out there, right on perhaps 99.9% of the votes. Some Freepers are getting to be like Jonathan Edwards, who, finding no one pious or holy enough to take communion with, ended up taking communion with only himself.

So, Simcox is a stalking horse for McCain.

Simcox is out for Simcox. He could never win, and he knows it. McCain must be paying him ;-)

IIRC, Ariz has open primaries. Wanna bet some Demo is involved with Simcox???The Demo crossover voters could be trouble.

If Dems cross over and vote for Simcox in the primary, it won’t make any difference in the race between McCain and Hayworth, since Simcox wouldn’t even get 5% overall. The problem would be Democrats voting for McCain, as well as confused conservatives voting for Simcox instead of for Hayworth.

Among other reasons, the reason I like JD is because he wasn’t a born with a silver spoon in his mouth politician.

Simcox is a smooth talking liar who reneged on his promise to build a real border fence. He took $100,000 from a decent man to do this and is now being sued by that man for not fulfilling his pledge.

Many people on this forum know about his dealings with Alan Keyes and his money raising cutouts. This will come up in the primary.

Simcox is just trying to be a kingmaker. Up against Hayworth he's a nobody. The leftist press in Arizona is playing him up to try to defeat J.D. and keep McSlime in until he croaks.

Everyone should understand that and pressure Simcox to get lost, since he's really aiding Mr. Amnesty.

Simcox should stand down. The most important thing to take place, is for McCain to be benched.

Hayworth will serve his interests better.

Yes, “Nuts!” sums it up rather well.

The open border elite will fund Simcox to split the anti-McCain vote.

So, Simcox is a stalking horse for McCain.

I'll go with Hanlon's razor here "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." If beating McCain was his #1 priority he'd be urging Hayworth to run. From his comments it's all about him. "I was here first. I was here first". That same silly argument was used by Peg Luksik in Pennsylvania after Toomey got in. Candidates have up until the filing deadline to enter a race.

If Hayworth gets in Simcox will get less than 5% of the vote. Hopefully it won't be meaningful.

You make a very good point. I hope Hayworth runs and I hope you are right.

Simcox may be a tool but the open border elite knows exactly what it is doing.

Reminds me of Tancredo claiming that he just had to run for president because no candidate was opposing open borders. Of course Hunter had already announced and was fighting amnesties before Tancredo had even considered running for congress.

Hayworth is a serious candidate, Simcox is a buffoon.

Tancredo had a real holier than thou attitude about the issue.
