al baby.
Gody?
That should clearly read Gaudy..
Thank you.
The Grammar Police.
The press release essentially said "Buzz Aldrin and Chuck Yeager would fly Virgin Airlines because of the new in-flight WiFi capabilities". These two airmen's names are nowhere near "generic" or in the public domain, so they should be paid for being used as spokesmen without their consent.
Is THIS (Rush Limbaugh: I'm A-Okay!) where you meant to post it?
And YOU are a great detective!
Thanks for putting it right.
.
Thanks for the ping. Besides being an example of unauthorized name-dropping, the ad is totally illogical.
I think there are two issues. One is that if Yeager doesn’t protect his name it loses commercial value. The second is that I think it might offend him a little that Virgin is comparing sitting in a chair surfing the web to risking your life in an attempt to push the boundaries of space.
The Virgin ad says that having WiFi at every seat in their airliners is a monumental moment in air travel — and by misusing these two names compares having WiFi to breaking the sound barrier or landing on the moon. That is insulting to the men, their accomplishments, and the intelligence (if any) of the reader.
LOL
