Are our current woes related to our not defending the rights of seniors?

"For all of America's cherished belief in choice and freedom, it remains an astonishing fact that the U.S. government forces citizens over the age of 65 into a subpar health plan of its choosing. And so it is with some hope that we greet a new federal lawsuit that aims to allow senior citizens to flee Medicare. The suit comes courtesy of Kent Masterson Brown, a lawyer who has previously tangled with the government over Medicare benefits. Mr. Brown represents three plaintiffs who are suing the federal government to be allowed to opt out of Medicare without losing their Social Security benefits.

Amazingly, this is not currently allowed. While the Social Security law does not require participants to accept Medicare, and the Medicare law does not require participants to accept Social Security, the Clinton Administration in 1993 tied the programs together. Under that policy, any senior who withdraws from Medicare also loses Social Security benefits."

Does anyone else have the feeling that Obamacare being forced on the populace may be "payback" [we reap what we sow] because we did nothing to help out the seniors who are forced to participate in Medicare or lose their Social Security benefits that they rightfully paid into the system? Military too now are forced onto Medicare. Was God watching this lack of concern on our part or was this simply a first and second shot across the bow from the left that we did nothing to stop because it didnt affect us?

Are our current woes related to our not defending the rights of seniors?

I would say our current woes are related first to our not defending the rights of the unborn. There are 50 million citizens who are missing. Thou shalt not kill.

And now the seniors who will be denied care are the very ones who have gone off to war, raised their families with hard work and decency, contributed a lifetime of taxes into a system that now is slamming the door of healthcare in their faces. Without this generation, patriotism and all that it embodies, is a dim memory, soon to fade. Thou shall not kill.

Where would we be if we had followed the first admonition ... "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it." Genesis 1:28

Galatians 6:7-10

7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel and his Complete Lives System is an integral part of the DeathCare legislation. His chart ends at age 70.Thou shall not kill ... but we do.

The spirit of deception has darkened our beloved country ... the young will grow into middle age and then into old age. I wonder when fear will grip their hearts, as it now has for millions of our citizens.

Job 12:10 ~ In HIS hand is the life of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind." The sin of Satan is to be as God. Behold, look upon his handiwork, and weep.

I completely agree. In addition to the loss of life and potential, a large percentage of the 50 million would be now contributing positively to society, including paying into social security. A nation's moral compass must begin with a respect for life; otherwise, all other attitudes and concerns are thrown off course.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

May it be thus, O Lord, may it be thus.
