The John Birch Society Announces CPAC 2010 Cosponsorship JBS to provide leadership, educational presence at nation's top conservative gathering

APPLETON, WIS.—December 15, 2009—The John Birch Society announces it is cosponsoring the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) 2010, to be held in Washington DC, Feb. 18-20.

JBS will have a double booth with half dedicated to offering educational and promotional materials and the other half housing a TV studio that will stream live video from the booth and broadcast onto JBS LibertyNewsNetwork.tv, a website that will feature archived JBS video and live video streams.

Last year, more than 8,000 attendees were drawn to CPAC. Posted on CPAC's website, The Washington Post called it, “… the preeminent yearly gathering of conservative activists.”

Not a good association for CPAC.

JBS will have a double booth

How many booths are there at CPAC? I have a feeling that the Birchers are doing a some self-agrandizing by calling rental of a couple of booth spaces at a conference a "cosponsorship".

Birchers dishonest? Nah.

Some Jews just stole their co-sponsorship.

According to the CPAC agenda ....the first day there is a "co sponsor" reception......so I guess this is true....JBS is too far right for me

Wish now I hadn't signed up and paid my money

Why? The Birchers I know are good, honest, patriotic people.

“The Birchers I know are good, honest, patriotic people.”

I think that is overall true.

They have, however, been over-the-top on a number of issues, and certain of their key members (outside Birch functions) espouse some, if not anti-semetic and anti-Roman Catholic positions, positiosn that are so close that I can barely tell the difference.

Regardless, the JB are a damaged brand and any association with them will harm CPAC.

The John Birch Society is one of the best patriotic organizations we have. I’d love it if they joined up with the Tea Partiers!

Why not save your time and share booths with Cindy Sheehan and the Code Pinkos as the JBS shares the same anti war,
views and both believe the NeoCons, (Jewish Conservative Republicans) are more dangerious than the IslamOfascists.

” I have a feeling that the Birchers are doing a some self-agrandizing”

That’s not their bag. They’re patriots intent on opening America’s eyes to the Communist takeover - have been for decades.

I’m hearing the result here of Liberal slamming of the Birchers. It’s brainwashing left over from the McCarthy era.

My experience over many decades is that the John Birch Society is filled with a bunch of wacko extremists. The Founder of the JBS (Welch) called President Eisenhower a communist stooge. Prompting the resignation of conservatives like Bill Buckley and Russell Kirk. Even Barry Goldwater distanced himself from JBS.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see that nutzies like Ron Paul, Thomas DiLorenzo, Lew Rockwell are members of JBS. Along with the late Reagan hater, Murry Rothbard.

I say, no thanks to JBS!

I'm surprised they have room, what with the Republican "Gay" groups they're letting in.

CPAC allows [Republican] homosexual activist group "GOProud"

I, too, am confused over the condemnation of the JBS by many here.

I’ve never been a member of the JBS. But when I was serving in the Russian Maritime Region, John McMannus sent me two books at no charge, and I learned more about the corruption of the UNO than I had eve known previously. After reading the JBS books, I saw a lot of the information confirmed by many non-JBS authors.

Just about my closest Russian friend was an old radio engineer who had worked on surveillance (say, “spy”) ships off the USA west coast in the 1960s. This man was converted to Christ in 1995. After I would read the JBS books, he would read them. He would confirm to me what the JBS had to say about communism and Russia, and was always asking me for more books.

What is the beef so many have with JBS?

The John Birch Society
(Michael Brown)

Oh we’re meeting at the courthouse at eight o’clock tonight.
You just come in the door and take the first turn to the right.
Be careful when you get there, we’d hate to be bereft,
But we’re taking down the names of everybody turning left;

‘Cause we’re the John Birch Society, the John Birch Society,
Here to save this country from a communistic plot.
We’re the John Birch Society, help us swell the ranks.
To get this movement started, we need lots of tools and cranks.

Now there’s no one that’s certain that the Kremlin doesn’t touch.
We think that Westbrook Pegler doth protest a bit too much.
We only hail the hero from whom we got our name.
We’re not sure what he did, but he’s our hero all the same.

Oh, we’re the John Birch Society, the John Birch Society,
Socialism is the “ism” dismalist of all.
Join the John Birch Society, there’s so much to do.
Have you heard they’re serving vodka at the W.C.T.U.?

Well you’ve heard about the agents that we’ve already named.
Well M.C.A. has agents that are flatly unashamed.
We’re after Rosie Clooney, we’ve gotten Pinky Lee,
And the day we get Red Skelton won’t that be a victory!

For we’re the John Birch Society, the John Birch Society,
Norman Vincent Peale may think he’s kidding us along,
But the John Birch Society knows he spilled the beans.
He keeps on preaching brotherhood, but we know what he means!

We’ll teach you how to spot ‘em in the city or the sticks,
‘Cause even Jasper Junction is just full of Bolsheviks.
The CIA’s subversive and so’s the FCC.
There’s no one left but thee and we, and we’re not sure of thee.

Oh we’re the John Birch Society, the John Birch Society,
Here to save our country from a Communistic plot.
Join the John Birch Society, holding off the Reds.
We’ll use our hands and hearts, and if we must, we’ll use our heads.

Friends, do you want Justice Warren to be your Commissar?
Do you want Mrs. Khrushchev in there with the DAR?
You cannot trust your neighbors, or even next-of-kin.
If mommy is a Commie, then you gotta turn her in.

Oh, we’re the John Birch Society, the John Birch Society
Fighting for the right to fight the right fight for the right.
We’re the John Birch Society, as we’re marching on,
We’ll all be glad to see you when we’re meeting in the John,
In the John, In the John Birch Society.

I will tell you Newbee, I worked in the Reagan campaign when he first ran for Gov.
Been in the streets countering face to face against the Code Pinkos, the pro Hamas, the pro illegals.

Have also in the past been in JBS book stores and have talked to the people. They have the same talking points as the Marxist anti war Code Pinkos.

There are too many Left Wing trolls on FR trying to divide Conservative Republicans to push through their Liberal Democrat camdidates and agenda.

The JBS, Ron Paul, and other fringe loons are the Democrats best friends
