Berlusconi 'Suffers Blow To Face'
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has reportedly been struck in the face after leaving a meeting in Milan.
He was reportedly left bleeding from the mouth. It was not clear whether the injury was caused by a punch or an object thrown by a protester.

Sorry. I can’t joke about this. It is one thing to disagree with someone and their policies. But to throw something that will cause injury is just unjustified. Remember, someone threw a tomato at Sarah Palin while she was holding her little son. Thank God it did not hit her or the baby. I didn’t think that was funny either nor did a lot of other people. It’s out of control. Call me a prude or whatever but this kind of behavior is nothing but street thugging and crude.

It’s almost always leftists doing it. If they keep pushing, they will get a fair measure (and more) in return.

While Berlusconi’s personal life may be a bit out of control, in Italy he’s considered a conservative and the left hates him.
There is a difference between disagreeing with someones policies and revolution. Throwing stones is out of line when disagreeing. Disagreeing is not an adequate response to some of the things taking place on the world political scene. Throwing rocks is what people do when they don't have arms. Not to say this applies in this instance. Just commenting that it may be appropriate in some.

So how conservative are they in Italy? I know the term is not exactly interchangeable between the united states and europe. In Canada, a mainstream conservative would be more like a progressive when compared to the U.S., like Bush jr. or McCain, rather than say Palin or Duncan.

This is serious business in Italy. Berlusconi will have the names and addresses of the perpetrator and his cadre of lefties within 48 hours. If I was one of them, I would be high tailing it for Libya or some place equally obscure.
This may be settled in the old way, which may start a wholesale escalation of political violencia in Italy.
This may not be political though. Berlusconi has a lot of enemies because of his private life.
In a perfect world I’d agree but these politicians are no better than thieves and many of them deserve much worse than a stone to the face for the evil that they do.

It’s OK...if and when the time comes when we have to return the favor...I am all for that. More than ready for that. But we have to wait until we are forced to do that then we come out and defend ourselves, our families and our properties.
