SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Wednesday had the potential to be the coldest day yet as a cold spell held its grip on the Bay Area, a National Weather Service forecaster said.

Forecaster Duane Dykema said Wednesday could top Tuesday, when a number of Bay Area cities saw record low temperatures, as the coldest day of the week.

A freeze warning was in effect Wednesday night into Thursday morning for the North Bay interior valleys, where low temperatures were expected in the 20s.

On Tuesday, San Rafael had a low of 28 degrees, tying the city's previous record for the date set in 1972. The North Bay had some of the lowest recorded temperatures in general, Dykema said, with many areas reaching the low-20s.

The real threat could be cooling, the ridiculous Liberals are off 30 years in their predictions.

Yep, 30 years. Interestingly, that is also one of the timing-cycles for sunspots.

Dang global warming. Where is the theory that increased CO2 causes record cold in SF?

22 this morning in Petaluma. We usually try and play a round of golf at 7 am or so on Wednesdays, they had a frost delay until 11 am. Bring on that global warming!

Weather report for Southern California:

A mild north westerly Pacific breeze, crystal clear, sunny, flowers all blooming and the temp gage says 65 degrees...A little chilly but I'll hang in there.

With unlimited visibility...The mountains surrounding Southern California are covered with snow, and looks really beautiful from a distance. lol...

For here, it is...I grew up back East and lived in MA, VA and NY, there’s no comparison, but for a place where 40 is really cold, it’s a strange weather pattern.

Why not just cut through all the Climate Change posturing and just impose a Prosperity Tax on the Powerless which is the whole point after all

A bit off topic but wanted to share this great old video of a snow vehicle concept from 1924. The spiral wheels seem ideally suited to traveling on snow and the horse cameo is rather amusing, enjoy. http://www.flixxy.com/snow-vehicle-concept.htm

It has been quite cold here in Glendale, California also, bordering Los Angeles on the North, Pasadena on the west, and Burbank on the South East.

Our average temperatures for yesterday’s date are 69 and 42. Yesterday’s temperatures were in actuality, 52 and 33. We were seventeen degrees below the average high for the day, and nine degrees below the average low.

The high for this date was set in 1975, and was 85 degrees. The low for this date was set in 1978, and it was 22 degrees.

Yesterday we were 33 degrees below the record high, and 9 degrees above the record low.

Our climate is obviously warming. Woe is me...

I used to live in North Hollywood and Hermosa Beach before I got married.

I miss LA’s weather, and the gangs, too.

Now I’m in Nevada but I grew up in the Bay Area so I know well how cold that is there. On the other hand, I live a few miles northeast of Reno-Sparks and it was -13 degrees at my tack shed this morning...
