IIRC, that happened before, only a few years ago, at one of the SUNY colleges. A grad student killed a professor over something to do with his dissertation.

Abdulsalam Al-Zahrani has been charged with second-degree murder in the stabbing death of Binghamton University Professor Richard T. Antoun.

Al-Zahrani, of Grand Avenue in Johnson City, was charged by Binghamton University Police.

There just happens to be a mosque on the same street in the village..... just sayin'.
