i’ve not seen any news source say anything on this.
yes - well, part of it was called that.
When I went there it was SUNY Binghamton.
I guess now they refer to it as Binghamton University.
But alot of people still call it SUNY B.
Good grief...someone protect this country from itself.
Had a car breakdown just east of there. One of the guys was from Binghamton. It was rush hour. I can’t believe this happened, but his sister was driving home from work, saw him, and picked us all up! What are the odds?!
LOL!
Well - it isn’t like there are too many highways around here.
Pretty much everyone has to take the same route.
No! It was the major highway! I really can’t remember after 30 years. It had to be 17 or...?
Exactly - it’s still the “only” way to get home :)
That’s likely why gun and ammo sales have gone up in the last year.
Actually since well before the election.
I’ve had trouble finding ammo at times. There’s quite a few empty spots on those shelves.
I do hear that should the economy go belly up and money becomes worthless, ammo and coffee would make a good medium of exchange.
That’s because the perp is muslim. You won’t see a word about it.
All I know is it was all headlights. We dropping him off in Binghamton and heading to Rochester. It’s still the most luck I’ve ever had!
torturous drive to Rochester.
Hope you didn’t have to drive through a blizzard.
I used to make that drive all the time for work and am SOOOO thankful every winter I am now home with the kids!
Made it once in 4:45. Actually drove thru a radar station at 90. they never stopped me. But as far as snow, I got used to driving in it. Hate it now. A lot younger then.
I’m amazed I lived through some of those drives through the mountains - tractor trailers never slowing down one iota, and you couldn’t even tell where the lanes were - or the shoulder of the road.
Awful!
I was driving from way downstate. Where were you coming from?
Right outside the Elmira area - cow country.
On a nice day it’s worth the extra time to take country roads through the Finger Lakes region. Go through Geneva right before picking up the Thruway.
Did that. One day I decided to take 17 to 15 and go north, since 15 went right near the university. What I didn’t know was that 17 west of Binghamton and Vestal and Johnson City was like rural. At one point, near Horseheads, I saw a lighted cross that said “Jesus Saves”, I can only remeber thinking, “Does he give directions” (big C christians can just leave me alone). Took me 10 hours!
*ping*
Jesus Saves is still there!
