Thank you for trying, but it’s falling on deaf ears.

One of the biggest lies going purported by the evolutionists is that since creationists believe that the Genesis account is real and true, that creationists then go on to demand that the whole Bible be read *literally* without regard to style or content or context.

Evolutionists then go on to claim that creationists look bad for taking a stand on Biblical literalness that nobody believes.

The only reason creationists *look bad* is because they are being lied about by the evolutionists who wish to discredit Christians in general and creationists in particular.

Nobody would think that anyone demands an completely literal reading of the entire Bible if it weren’t for this evolutionist mythology that they keep spreading.

It’s very revealing that they have to go to such great lengths and lies to discredit creation. You’d think that if evolution were such a slam dunk, that it would stand on its own and creation would go the way of alchemy.

You all seem like good Christian folk.

Remember to pray for the lost and misguided whether fellow Freepers or not.

Faith, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, charity (love), etc. are all gifts. Many are blessed with one (perhaps faith) but not all.

Xcamel, for example, does seem to suggest some level of faith ("The Bible is absolutely relevant"). But demonstrates a severe lack of understanding both spiritual and contextual in the juvenile comparison of the Revelation of Jesus Christ with Genesis. The questions about the symbolic references of Christ's Revelation perhaps being purely literal should seem quite silly to those of you who've actually read it to the end of its first chapter. That is where Christ Himself explains essentially "caution: symbolism at work".

Turn the other cheek when appropriate, but recall the Lord's stern admonition about casting pearls before swine. And, no xcamel, He was not literally commanding us to stop throwing our fine jewelry at you.

Thank you for trying, but it’s falling on deaf ears.

Based on the attitude that I see displayed by him or her, I'm sure that I won't convince xcamel. I just wish to point out the logical fallacy to others.
