This letter is from 2004, and is generally directed at Gov. Huckabee for his clemency actions, and to the effects of these actions specifically to the county where Mr. Hirschfeld is/was the prosecutor.

The exchange hints at some bad blood between these two. Nonetheless, there is no excuse for the cavalier reaction by the governor’s representative, and the committing of it in writing shows the low regard of other public servants by Hucklechuckle and his minions.

The letter from Hirschfeld seems sincere, and the reaction to it is obviously out of bounds by the Governor and his office.

Huckabee seems more and more like a Trojan Horse. I trust nothing that comes out of Arkansas politics, like Huckabee, especially after the Clintons. Huckabee destroyed the GOP in Arkansas during his tenure as Governor, and that is the most telling reason why he should never be considered for national office of any kind.

I did a thorough investigation of Huckabee’s pardon of the infamous Wayne Dumond. Link below

http://fishtruecrime.blogspot.com/2009/10/11109.html

Scroll down a bit to read the story as yes, it is MY True Crime Blog but I’ll bet dollar to donut that I investigated and documented more on this horrible pardon than any of the Old Media.

I’ll give a synopsis....Dumond was beloved by a chuch lady member of a large evangelical church Arkansas is famous for. Huckabee is a religious fellow, practically elected and owned by just such large congregations. The pastor of the church of the lady who so loved murdering rapist Dumond went to Huck and asked for a pardon for Dumond as, well the reason offered was that they felt Dumond was innocent.

Dumond’s victim was interviewed by Huckabee and while she begged Huck not to release Dumond, Huck paid silly her no mind as it was the big evangelical church that gave more political contributions, come on, get a clue.

There’s way more to this story, like how huck manipulated the pardon board to a special session and other maneuverings as Huck pushed through his pardon. Finally Dumond got set free, married his church lady beloved, and a few months later raped and murdered the mother of six children. Dumond is also strongly suspected of another murder/rape but it was not proved. I’d like to find that fine, fine church lady who married this very nice fellow and ask her how much she loves that fine husband of hers.

Anyway, Clemmons was a jailhouse convert. This is another church thing. Somehow the church people “converted” him and he became a bible thumper, declaring his love of Jesus and again, beloved by the jailhouse church crowd. Now I don’t know as much about Clemmons as I do Dumond but there IS a pattern here.

Huck ran with the Arkansas church crowd and consider that selling pardons has always been a fine Arkansas tradition also well used by one Bill Clinton before Huck.

Huckabee granted over 700 pardons in the eight years he was Governor while in toto the six states surround Arkansas, including mighty Texas, granted less than that.

I am sick of Huckabee and I despised him when he thought he should be president in 2008.

I mean come on, there’s got to be SOME penalty for granting so many questionable pardons.

It’s not just Huckabee. That Cory Cox who wrote and signed the letter sure comes across as a moron. I wonder if he’ll be working at McDonald’s by the end of the week.

I will make a point to turn off any show that includes the ex-governor. I will also avoid purchasing anything from sponsors of such a show.

Where are all the Holy Roller Huckabee defenders now?? That arrogant SOB is complicit in murder, as far as I'm concerned. They should chase him into a cave somewhere.

You know . . .

The official response by Huckabee’s underling makes the CF in the WH look dignified and serious by comparison.

Huckabee was already penny stock with me, but his value has dropped considerably even from that low status with this revelation. One begins to feel sorry for the weird and disturbing son, if the father is such a goof ball.

OMG, I am astounded, truly astounded that someone would consider that flip little note as an official correspondence, and put their name on it! How juvenile can they possibly get?

There was a frickin boatload of prosecutors, conservative politicians, and citizens strenuously objecting to this dumbsh*t’s arrogance.

If Huck’s political career was dead after the cop shooting...
...then this just wrapped it in chains, attached a weight, and dropped it off into a deep lake.

Twice in the head makes sure he is dead.

(figuratively - but still dead as a hammer.)

So. And Huckabee has been saying it was the Prosecutor’s fault for not objecting.

Yes, he has - unbelievable and imho, disgraceful. I heard the interview Huckabee did on the radio with Sean Hannity the other day. It would be interesting to get copies of the transcripts of Huckabee's recent interviews and press releases concerning this horrific incident.
