I remember well how the left made fun of him for serving up a plastic turkey just for the photo op.
Man, I’ll bet it was hard to find 10 members of the military that would be happy to hear from him.
But most of the troops were proud to be seen with him.

The Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball did take place at the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel on January 20, 2009. 47 Medal of Honor recipients were in attendance at the event. The President traditionally attends, as does the Vice President and other dignitaries. Vice President Joe Biden did attend, but President Obama did not.
Instead, Barack Obama chose to be in the company of Kanye West, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kid Rock, Stevie Wonder, Mary. J. Blige, Usher, Faith Hill, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Shakira, will.i.am, Samuel L. Jackson, Sting, Mariah Carey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sheryl Crow and Marc Anthony and numerous other celebrities.

In all fairness, though, I heard Obama is fine-tuning his troop visitation policy so he can develop a comprehensive Thanksgiving strategy that he can be confident will succeed in meeting the objectives laid out by his administration. /Obamaspeak and /sarc
Let me guess, none of them were the Navy SEALs who captured the Falluja plotter thought to be behind the slayings and mutilation of four U.S. contractors in Falluja in 2004 and then accused of punching him in the nose.
