Pendragon Books in Oakland: (510) 652-6259

Wouldn't it be a hoot if people called them and asked if they have Palin's book?

Be sure to ask for Nathan, the bookseller who claims Palin's book is "drivel" without having read it.

The rest of the article is made up of idiotic comments by Bay Area bookstore owners, and the article claims that Palin's book isn't selling well in the Bay Area.

Maybe it's because the book just hit the shelves yesterday and that many Bay Area bookstores are refusing to carry the book because of their closed mindlessness.

Meanwhile, Palin's book tops every best-sellers list and thousands are standing hours in line to buy the book and to see Palin.

Give "Nathan" a call and post your results.

I'm going to call on my lunch hour.

This is Pelosi’s District... And this is why she thinks she can be as left as left can be — they’d never vote her out!

Besides being delusional, this statement is just flat wrong.

It would make an interesting youtube study to stand outside this bookstore and conduct friendly interviews with departing customers.

I bet you would find these “thinking people” carrying out “drivel” by the armload.

I wonder if you look at Amazon’s shipments, what are the numbers shipping to SF area. I think these folks are cutting their own throat, passing on stocking a super-mega best seller.. just stupid. But it doesn’t stop one person from getting their copy.. just throws away their profits. What a wonderful world.

Can’t wait till our side gets back in control and drops the hammer on San Fran. We’ll make the whole city one big prison for rapists and child molesters. It’s logistically efficient.

The Bay Area is comprised of some rather strange life forms. When you look at them, they almost seem human.

Then when you make the error of communicating with one........you find out it’s best to go home.

There are some up there one can find that put up with it all to live in a beautiful place, but finding those sorts is too much like work. I’m retired.

As opposed to the well-stocked "gay/erotica" section that Pendragon likely has?

Some bookstores figure it’s one of those grit-your-teeth First Amendment deals that principled booksellers must put up with from time to time.”

******

LOL..... Welcome to Utopia.

You’re a principled bookseller and you find the First Amendment one of those things you just have to put up with from time to time.

So much for the myth about liberals being open to alternative viewpoints. I thought they were so proud that they weren't closed-minded?

Then again, consider the location. Why would they be reading a book by a hot heterosexual female?

I called but didn’t ask for Nathan as I thought that would be a dead give-away that I’d read this article. Asked how much they’re selling Sarah Palin’s book for; her response was “we’re not carrying it”. I said “Wow, is this a book store” she said “yes, it’s an independent bookstore”. I asked “why” she said it was just a decision they made because they don’t carry that many new books and didn’t want to spend money on it. My response was “Wow, you’re missing out on a lot of money” I said goodbye and hung up.

Lest we forget, this is how the “Reality Based” community operates. How they can claim that is beyond all logical thinking. Liberalism is a mental disorder and that is the true reality.

This article was hilarious. It was like reading one of the better Onion articles. In fact, I had to check to verify it was NOT the Onion.

Frankly, I don’t take them seriously so I can laugh. A lot.
