I also think that, especially by resigning, she’s made herself an embarrassment to my cause.

Are you kidding? Because of all the bogus law suits the rabid left had against her, Alaska had to pay a fortune to fight them. She left to save them - the taxpayers.

When she bowed out early, she also left a squeaky clean INCUMBANT in her place. An incumbent Republican would be harder to beat than a newbie. That was a brilliant move on her part.

How dose she fare with Independents?? Those are the votes she has to capture (specifically the conservative independents) to get elected.

Good post!

We have the MASSIVE crowds at the tea parties - THAT’S OUR Poll! They cast their vote then and it co$t them! IMO, that’s the real poll.

And some of the usual, transparent FR suspects are getting all excited about yet another piece of dubious propaganda trying to derail the Sarah Palin Express train.

If that 59% stay home in disgust at the Party Nominee, the Nominee’s supporters will be trying to win a national election with...

...wait for it...

...41% of a minority party.

May I suggest going with the choice of the 59%?

This is very good news! Her endorcement of candidates is going to matter to 60% of the GOP voters in primaries which will help us in our Rino hunting efforts.

Right now, she’s going around and meeting people on her book tour. She does best when she does not have the media as an intermediary. We will see what fruit this brings.

You miss the point. We are talking about Republicans. The Northeastern brand is different from elsewhere; more country clubbish, socially liberal, tolerant of high taxes and inordinately influenced by the dominant media which is centered there.

Get the picture? Oh, and watch out for the UV rays, they're a killer.

Oh yes! The same old tired worn out media puppets trying to make themselves relevant w/their propaganda. They cannot think for themselves - dead fish go w/the media flow.

That's going to be her biggest contribution, helping with the overdue RINO purge.

Isn’t this a hoot. My read of the GOP leadership, is that it will spend it’s time trashing her, and 60% of the party members say they share her values.

Yep, by my read that’s the sad situation in the Republican Party these days.

As best as I can tell, Sarah Palin shares my views too.

So do my mechanic, a couple of my next door neighbors, and the lady who does my wife's hair.

That does not mean I see them all as potential Presidents.

The emotionalism of the connections between some Freepers and Mrs. Palin is a little unnerving....this sort of idolatry of a politician (who are at best, our mildly incompetent hired help) is far more suited to leftists, who view the political arena as mankind's highest achievement.

59% is pretty good at this stage, considering that a portion are GOP libs and a portion are only listening to what they hear on tv and don’t have a realistic view of Palin. I would doubt anyone would score higher at this point.

It is more than emotionalism. Many see a successful elected politician who is interested in more than cocktail parties and corporate junkets. She has rooted out corruption and corrupt politicians, including some in our party. In addition, she was attacked brutally by the media and some in our own party, which has strengthened ties with conservatives.

I am not sure why someone with a strong track record building a strong following is so scary. I wonder if you would have said the same thing in the 70s about Reagan...oooohhh how terrible it is that these people believe strongly in one man. I would imagine most believe Palin is in a rare position to articulate conservatism, and I am all for that, regardless of what offices she may or may not pursue in the future.

Christian Group Questions Palin's Pro-life Credentials

Then I'd say this "Christian group" is ignorant, naïve, and imbecilic.
Sarah Palin is to the unborn as wet is to water.

So you want to continue to give heartland liberals, rust belt liberals, southwest liberals off the hook? You see Northeasterners through the media prism provided. Some of the most conservative people don’t associated with the Republican Party. New Jersey and New York both have thriving Conservative parties and the do vote principle, not party.

this sort of idolatry of a politician

You bought the lie and that tactic doesn't work here! Your "emotions" are ruling you, not clear thinking. Now it's time for you to get your car fixed, chat w/a few neighbors while you wife gets her hair done. Flip a coin come 2012 - it's 'your' best bet.

You are hardly qualified to judge Palin’s electability.

It was also the absolute last thing the power hungry ‘rats expected her to do. Imagine, somebody willingly giving up power. That move probably derailed a lot of rat plans.
