I like both. Would drive the newer one with pride, had I the means.

This is what happens when the government gets involved, and don't forget McCain was a part of it. Remember, he agrees with the bail outs given to us by the Obamination.

So take some responsibility, old man!

Sherman, set the WABAC Machine to April, 6 2008. History teaches us that long before TARP or the auto maker bailouts, McCain was calling for a bailout for Bear Stearns.

Sure, thing, Mr. Peabody!

Q: You said, “It’s not the duty of government to bail out and reward those who act irresponsibly, whether they’re big banks or small borrowers.” What about Bear-Stearns?

John McCain: On the issue of Bear Stearns, every financial expert I know says that if it had failed, it would have rippled throughout the entire financial community and would have caused greater problems which eventually would have come down on the average citizen if our economy continues to decline the way that it’s been doing.

GM is no where near the situation Chrysler is in.

About one year ago, GM shut off voice mail on the desk phones at most of their plants to save money. Then you needed Plant Manager approval to purchase a single ream of copy paper. Then came the bailouts, bankruptcy and plant closing announcements.

GM may not be in as bad a situation as Chrysler, but I had the good sense to get out of there as a contractor manager a few months ago. Management and UAW have it on life support. I have never seen a more demoralized, toxic work environment in my life.

Yeah I have been saying that the UAW will try to kill Ford next. I like Ford and their vehicles but if the UAW kills them it is Honda, Toyo or BMW for me.

I am hoping Toyota comes out with a good diesel engine pickup.

Yes, with dual rear wheel drive.

GM market share is up from a year ago to almost 21%. It was just belwo 20%.

It was achieved with deep (unprofitable) discounting. Ford increased without the discounting and had a nice profit last quarter. Chrysler, however, looks real bad.
