Yeah I said months and months ago that Chrysler is toast. Fiat is killing off models and will import Fiats to see in Chrysler showrooms. I bet UAW workers at Chrysler are getting full pay and doing nothing.

GM is not far behind. GM (Obama) was going to unload Opel AG. They figured suckers would but GM vehicles but many Americans are running away from Govt. Motors.

So Obama’s goons.czars realize Opel is actually a pretty good company with decent products and quality. Opel’s are working men cars in Germany where you get value for money. I would take German Fords over and Opel but that is another story.

Anyone know where GM Holden (Australia) stands? I assume it also makes money. The only other decent thing is Bucks selling in China but the Chinese will get the best of that deal.

McCain is neglecting the possibility of future additional bailouts of Chrysler and GM.

In both cases, Obama’s pals at the UAW are willing to spend as much of your money as needed to ensure their survival.

In the case of Chrysler, Obama gave his word and who knows what guarantees to the Italians to agree to invest in it.

I’d say there is a good chance that the taxpayers are going to be tapped for the UAW again- probably before the end of 2010.

I guarantee some clown is still running around saying, “Any Chevrolet is better than any Ford.” Chevy used to have some of the most diehard fans on the Earth, they were like Obama loons.

GM is no where near the situation Chrysler is in.

You are just plain ignorant.

Way too many Americans will not buy from Chrysler or GM just because of the government bailout! That alone will put them out of business. That is also why Ford is doing so well.

I'm one of the many who will NEVER buy from Chrysler or GM. I don't think there are "way too many" of us. On the contrary, it's just the right number ... to kill two companies that deserve to die.

You are praising the cummins engine, not the dodge truck.

http://www.sterlingtrucks.com/Trucks/Construction/StakeBody/Bullet.asp

The bullet pickup by sterling trucks is basically the same as a dodge ram. Same motor. If dodge trucks die off, sterling will still be around.

Good. Any company that pays union wages deserves to die.

Chrysler is toast but GM is not far behind. Are you a UAW stooge at GM? You boys killed it. GM is being propped up with taxpayer money - so don’t try to tell people they are ignorant.

The only things at GM making any money are probably Opel and Holden.

McCain is not only an idiot, he speaks with forked tongue...

Of course he does. He's a political opportunist with no principles other than getting re-elected, and as such he will say anything to accomplish that objective.

Let's review, shall we?

During the campaign:

McCain Backs Government Plan To Help U.S. Auto Makers (2008-08-22) (Dow Jones/CNN/Money)
"Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in an important shift, said on Friday he backs a plan for the federal government to provide low- interest loans to struggling U.S. auto makers."

McCain Discusses GM's Situation [bailouts for GM] (2008-07-17) (The Wall Street Journal)
"I hope GM does not require it, but if it looks like it is approaching that, everyone has to consider every option."

McCain Talks With GM Workers [climate change alert] (2008-07-18) (The Washington Post)
"Speaking to a group of General Motors Corp. employees, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) promised to provide a $5,000 tax credit for Americans who buy electric-powered cars such as the future Chevy Volt and 'other automobiles that put us on the path to energy independence,' even as he suggested he might alter his climate plan to aid the auto industry."

After the campaign:

"The senator is opposed to the bill as it is written." (2008-12-11) (Politicker AZ)

And yes, McLame did back the TARP bailouts. He even went so far as to attack conservatives for opposing them. He also proposed that the federal government would buy bad mortgage securities directly, and while Obama was out pushing Porkulus Maximus last January, McCain was running around pimping his own $500 billion (give or take) Big Government "stimulus" plan...a plan that was summarily rejected by his Rat buddies in Congress.

“Chrysler is toast but GM is not far behind.”

And anyone that heard that the UAW union workers are not going to
give Ford the same terms they extended to GM and Chrysler...
will probably think twice before buying a Ford product.

(As soon as Ford recently announced that they’d turned a profit,
the UAW said they’d not agree to the “no strike at the end of the
contract” clause that the UAW at GM/Chrysler ageed to when the going
was REALLY rough.)
