Canada, under Harper, is taking a sharp, right hand turn -
now allows the buying of personal health insurance,
just rescinded the law requiring registration of rifles,
and just put out the notice of what is required if you want to become a citizen -
they are pulling back from the brink - while we are racing full bore, like lemmings, for the cliff.
Maybe we can escape to Canada...

How embarrassing - Canada formally denounces Muslim barbarity before we do!
Liberal, collectivist, human-rights-court Canada! Sheesh!

Canada has a big advantage. Harper isn’t a muslim.

If Canada is at all serious about this, they should at once get rid of their imbicilic “Human Rights Commissions.”
Not holding my breath...

I’m one of those people who became Canadian on April 17. If Canada becomes more conservative as the US becomes more liberal, I’m heading North.

Im one of those people who became Canadian on April 17. If Canada becomes more conservative as the US becomes more liberal, Im heading North Right behind ya!
I figure, if I don't get out in time, my 72-hour bug-out bag will get me to Canada, it's borders wrapping around my state and all...

We can make it clear that we expect new immigrants to adopt our values and assimilate into our culture and not the other way around. Those who don't like how we live are free to remain in their home countries.

Good to know we have a place to flee.

Yep, I’m just a couple hundred miles from the border. In MT, 200 miles is a drive across the neighborhood.

200 miles is a drive across the neighborhoodLOL
My kind of country!
I'm not as far up north - up where I grew up - as I'd like but my little house is snuggled down in forest = backed by miles of forest. I have a 60' barrier of forest between me and the road. Quite private and quiet.
the one store village is 1 1/2 miles 'down the road' - whole town @ 700.
By 8:00 at night, no traffic...
I do love it. It's not that I'm antisocial, just that I like to choose who I socialize with, and when.

It is good news. New immigrants are not going to automatically receive huge chunks of money either. They will be expected to learn English and get a job.!! CO
