Iran has in effect rejected a UN-brokered deal aimed at preventing Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner said in an interview published on Sunday.
"In practice, the answer has almost been given and it is negative. That is a shame, a shame, a shame," Kouchner told the Israeli daily Yediot Aharonot ahead of a visit to the region later this week.
The comments came as both the United States and Russia expressed frustration at Iran's failure to give an answer three weeks after it received the offer in high-level talks to defuse the stand-off.
The West suspects Tehran is trying to develop a nuclear weapon under cover of its civilian nuclear energy programme. Iran vehemently denies the claims.
Kouchner said so far attempts to reach a deal with Iran had not gone well. "None of those meetings were particularly successful. We are waiting. It isn't good, and it is very dangerous," he told the paper

Even the MSM, which tried to lead today's headlines with 'Obama strikes nuclear deal with Russians' is already backtracking because the Russians are trying to get even more concessions from the US. Now the headline is 'O bow ma' makes progress' on nuclear issues.
In only 10 months this moron has accomplished nothing but putting a lot of miles on AF One and getting less than nothing in return.
Other countries see Obama as a piker, which emboldens them.

That’s it. It’s time to end this charade once and for all, and I think it’s going to have to be Israel that plays the primary role.
Soon Iran will set off a nuclear test and the issue will be resolved. On their terms.

Obama and Clinton will spin this only as a “setback” in the negotiations. I can’t wait to see how they try to spin a successful Iranian nuclear test as a diplomatic victory for the US.
