My bet? They will seat Hoffman and make some deals to do so behind the scenes (namely, Owens vote will still count on any legislation he has already voted on; even if removed).
No need to battle it out and bring attention back to Republicans winning these elections..It'll be done nice and quiet with no fanfare in the MSM..

Just a hunch

As usual, they “find” a bunch of votes for the Acorn candidate.

It’s absurd that Owens votes in Congress before the election is certified... check that, it’s downright criminal.

Those final numbers will not be available until at least mid-December.

I have a hard time believing it should take that long to finish the count. I'll bet you and I could count them in a day.

No this is the juiciest bit of news I’ve heard. It’s going to make all the Rats’ heads explode.

Doubted earlier but 10,000 absentee ballots heavy military. Obama and Pelosi will be smashing lampshades this weekend.

If Hoffman turns out to be the winner, Pelosi does not have to seat him.

- a discrepancy of more than 1,200 votes in Doug Hoffman's favor.
- Another error ... contributed an additional 700 votes in Hoffman's favor.

Has there ever been a recanvas in any state where the GOP candidate got the "extra" votes?

Over 2,000 votes for contender Doug Hoffman were not counted in the preliminary results, narrowing the current vote gap to less than 3,000 votes between Democrat Bill Owens and Conservative Doug Hoffman.

Well...imagine that...if Owens is removed, do they have to redo the House vote?

There are currently over 10,000 uncounted absentee ballots,

I’d like to see a verified number for the uncounted absentee ballots. I’ve looked and can’t find one but find that only just over 10,000 were sent out. How many were returned I’ve not found a solid number the entire district. But I have seen numbers just under 6,000 returned in total.

I did find this today about Ft Drum and the total distributed absentee ballots:

http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2009/11/its_not_over_recanvassing_shows_ny23_race.html
The new vote totals mean the race will be decided by absentee ballots, of which about 10,200 were distributed, said John Conklin, communications director for the state Board of Elections.......

Jefferson County, home of Fort Drum and the Army’s 10th Mountain Division, distributed 2,299 absentee ballots for the special election. As of this week, 1,303 had been returned but not counted, Eaton said. He said the county will begin counting the absentee ballots earyl next week.

I thought it passed by two votes...So it wouldn’t make a difference anyway...

But for the life of me I cannot understand why 2-3000 votes could be “lost” or unaccounted for in such a closely followed and officiated race???

Whoever screwed that up should not ever be allowed to officiate even a nose-pickin’ contest...

Most of those absentee ballots would have been cast before Scuzzyfavors dropped out, so I wouldn’t get too hopeful just yet.

Sportsmanlike? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Fight it out to the last dang vote is counted. Democraps would never concede anything in a sportsmanlike fashion. They lie and cheat their way to victory. Hoffman should hang in there and retake that seat. See if THEY will be sportsmanlike.

Oh man, wouldn’t this be amazing?

More amazing to me is that in 2010 we're going to be going through this same process over and over again as long as ACORN and the SEIU are in any way, shape or form permitted to "do their thing" to elections in most American cities.

Also jawdroppingly amazing is that citizens and/or cities, states and municipalities are not DEMANDING proof of identity for anyone who votes anywhere in this nation. As long as there is no proof of ID, there is phenomenal opportunity for fraudulent votes.
