Pardon me for asking, but who gives a rat’s arse what the Shrivers do when they go clothes shopping???
And what kind of clothing store toady would feel obliged to report something like this to the media?
Even Walmart clothes should be hung back up.
Children are one thing, but the article said his wife was with them. It just shows character, that’s all.
You are right. Walmart, or an exclusive boutique, it doesn't matter. It is about respect for the next person who may purchase the merchandise. I wouldn't go into a person's home and throw their clothes on the floor and walk away.
I worked at a few clothing stores throughout my high school and college days. I spent countless hours steaming out the wrinkles in fine clothing while dressed in a suit myself. When the sales floor was not busy, we unpacked shipments and did the prep work in nylons and high heels. It's not fun, hot work, and I used to curse the people that left those nice clothes in a pile on the floor.
Does anyone remember during the early days of the CA Recall election when we had high hopes for Arnold and that story came out about how strict he was with his kids’ clothes being picked up?
It was a big deal that his kids be responsible for their own clothes and doing their own laundry, and any clothes Arnold found lying around would be TAKEN, period.
Anyone recall?
Coffee on keyboard alert! LOLOL!
Some of the comments below the article are interesting.
Silly "sales staff" they are Kennedys. Tidying up is for the "little people"
you are one sick cookie.......funnier than hell, too!
you are right, we don’t even have proof the story is true........HOWEVER, the destruction of property that you do not own is wrong! hang the clothing you try on back on a hangar, sales clerks are not maids. it takes a low class scuzz bucket to leave brand new clothing on the floor in a heap. the clothing is diminished in value and that is stealing.
Well, for one thing, it’s bad form. For another, no one wants to pay top dollar for brand new clothes that someone else has thrown on the floor (and if they’re on the floor, they were probably stood or walked on). It is a common courtesy to both the sales staff and to your fellow shoppers.
I guess we should also expect those that read the label on a box or can at the grocery store to throw it in the aisle and leave it for someone else to pick up.
I worked in retail while putting myself through college. I saw the worst that humanity had to offer. It really made me hate people. Injustice comes at you from all sides in retail: Rude, thieving customers, thieving coworkers, ass-clown management, etc.
Most clothing stores have a rack for customers to hang the clothes that they try on but don't purchase. They don't want you to restock the display racks for them, but they at least expect you to put the clothes back on a hanger rather than piling them in a heap on the floor.
Rich slobs.
As useless as tits on a boar.
Very cool tag line! :-)
I’ve read this east-west coast comment a few times, and it’s really irking the hell out of me. Yes, we’ve got more than our share of libs, socialists, and elites, but there’s a number of conservatives on both coasts who are FReepers. When I listen to Rush and Levin, I identify with all those callers in “flyover country,” because we’re Americans and conservatives.
It looks like conservatives on the coasts are just a bunch of red-headed step children. Spit upon by the elites on the coasts, and forgotten/scorned by the folks in “God’s Country.”
IOW, I don’t think much of the prejudice no matter where it comes from.

This is the case anytime you work with the public. I used to be a directory assistance operator twenty years ago, you wouldn’t believe the idiots that used the service. And I averaged about 1200 calls a day. Don’t even get me started on the managers. Whenever my shift was over and I was driving home, I would look around at the other cars and think, “I”m actually driving on the road with those morons I just finished having to deal with.” Scary thought.
