Can’t we just get along; we’re just one big tent, really. Let’s reach across the aisle...ya’ll just don’t get it and aren’t smart enough to understand how to get stuff done here inside the beltline. Ya’ll think you have it tough back at home in South Carolina, shoot, I have to work with young interns, have to wait in line for my free haircut - you just don’t know how hard it is.

Good for them. All politics is local and it should stay that way.

To be fair, he’s done pretty good on rallying against the ghastly Obamacare.

However, it stands in stark contrast to his usual, despicable/McCain-in-Training, behavior.

Obamacare is so bad that even this RINO stands up against it.

>> The post does not use the correct headline <<

Yeah, but with the correct headline it probably wouldn’t qualify for “breaking news.”

Too bad he won’t be up for re-election until 2012.

Where was he last year? last year he was re-elected with 69% of the vote...after calling everyone opposed to amnesty bigots. He should never have made it rto the nomination but he did. I believe the same thing will happen next time around.

I have a feeling that “Lovable Lindsey” found this all amusing, like the determined farmer who locks the barn door after the horse flees into the night.

ButtMunch Graham has been running continuous ads here in Charleston area, touting himself as a great green energy/tax/crap hero! Ugghh...the 08 US Senate/SC election choices were:
BM Graham, maybe mod Dim/PelosiRat, Write in Mickey Mouse, or leave blank.

Even if done, such a law would not be recognized by the U.S. Senate; nor would a term-limits law for that matter either. People in SC like long-term incumbents, and he could be around for a near eternity.

Lindsay Graham became a hero during Clinton’s impeachment hearings - then something happened.

Perhaps he is pandering to the influx of Northern Liberal retirees who have moved and registered to vote in South Carolina.

But the influx of northeastern retirees to the coastal “Low Country” and of younger transplants to growing upstate job centers such as Greenville is changing things.

He was just recently reelected, The Republican Party did a good job of clearing the primary slate for him. None of the states top republicans would challenge him. He was easy pickings too.

The resolution mentions Graham's cooperation with U.S. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., on a bipartisan energy bill, and his support for the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program and the time he called some opponents of immigration reform "bigots."

has a lifetime conservative voting record of 90 percent and last year was rated the 15th most conservative senator by National Journal.

"Like former President Reagan, he strongly believes elected officials need to find common ground and work together to solve difficult problems like making our nation energy-independent and protecting our environment," Graham's spokesman Kevin Bishop said

OK, he supports his party on the majority of relatively minor issues but when it come s to gravely important matters he deserts his party and sides with the opposition.

Yes he is a great Republican stalwart.
