Ok, I’m probably going to take some heat for saying this, but since when do the officers of our military put careers ahead of preventing terrorist attacks like what happened at Ft. Hood?

Since the time of the Continental Congress - seems they dumped all over one of their best officers until he went to offer his services to the British.

Congressional corruption/incompetence is legendary. CYA is endemic in upper levels of command. History is full of such problems.

You hit the nail on the head. In fact even now, there is hardly a man who is willing to say a word. Note that mid level military are sending out news announcements about looking into “improving safety within the ranks of the military.” What?

If there were a unanimous chorus from the Army, that this occurred as a result of having an avowed Islamist terrorist within and that everyone knew it, but had their hands tied by P.C. politics, it would be impossible to spin it.

The army has become just another political Govt. Agency which knows no bounds of decency nor logic, even with the safety of the Nation on the line. How else could we have preposterous rules of engagement in the field, that have cost hundreds of young men their lives and extended a war beyond 8 years (not to mention losing that war)?
