American Response To House...Strike!
Vanity ^ | November 8, 2009 | Wpin

Posted on 11/08/2009 8:49:41 AM PST by Wpin

Okay, we are all disgusted, dispirited, angry, and not sure of what to do next. Evidently, the Tyrants in the democrat party do not care if we have Tea Party's, they mock us. They don't care if they lose some elections, they mock us. They persecute our leaders and they mock us.

How can we hit back? Tea Party's are good, but they have been relatively inaffective. We are ignored or mocked. Let's consider hitting these bastards where it will really count, let's call for a national strike by the people! Not a union strike, this is an American people strike, yes we have the right to do that folks! What is really cool is we don't have to travel long distances to do it, we can organize Tea Party's at local spots on that day. But, the theme is Shut Down The System Day! And if the bastards in Washington don't back off, we do it again...maybe for a week. Really shut the whole economy down. If there are truly millions who are with us, this could work...

Can we get some consensus on this? If so, when? I would suggest that it is no more that one month away, but no sooner than a week or two so we can get full participation. We also need to organize how to get the word out. I will donate $10,000 towards that goal if we get a good plan going...

Let's talk!

Yes, exactly! We can also shut down local television stations, schools, government offices, etc. Maybe it is time for some good ole American civil disobedience. It isn’t the end of the world to get arrested, hell it would be a badge of honor in this case!

I completely disagree that the Tea Parties have been ineffective. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Tea Party protests...SLOWED THIS DOWN. They wanted it passed before the August recess, remember? Here we are, a couple of weeks from Thanksgiving and it has just now passed the House, where they have a 40 vote advantage.

Now to the Senate, which is much slower, anyway. The CBO hasn’t even scored the Baucus bill and it may not be for weeks, according to Sen. Conrad.

Moreover, the Senate has only 8 weeks left in this years’ session!

You can strike Mom! Vow not to purchase anything at all on that day!!! The point is to shut the economy down. Make a strong impact on their power...it will scare the crap out of them if we can get enough people.

So with unemployment at 10.2 percent, you’re advocating people strike. I don’t think that makes sense, sorry. The truth is, the Dems are in control, and the only way to change things, IMHO, is to vote in conservatives. Short of that, nothing’s going to change.

I’ve called my elected (Dem) representatives till I’m blue in the face, and I know that even when they’ve stated their constituents were against something, they’ve voted as they wanted (or should I say as Pelosi wanted.)

So will they care if I strike, or if my husband strikes. I don’t think so.

The doctors and insurance companies need to start howling big time to the press and their senators...why should unions and feds get top healthcare while the rest get medicaid, basically. Also, see what happened in upstate NY?
The jerks in the Repub party back a candidate that is the same as the opponent, and the dropped out phony supports the DEM—what has happened to the party? Also, the constituents who voted for phony OWENS need to realize what he has done to them, and all make plans to get rid of him.

an earlier post on Free Republic had the best idea.

STARVE THE BEAST

When you go to work tomorrow, change your withholding by adding 9 or 10 deductions, so the gov’t gets effectively ZERO from you.

(Now don’t be stupid and spend that extra money. Put it aside as you WILL need it to pay your taxes!)

If only 20% of the population did this, we’d have their attention, for sure.

This is an extension, another level of the Tea Party Movement, it is where it is going to have to go sooner or later. I think NOW is the time, not after the cows have left the barn. Let’s have some impact that is real, let’s show the real power of the American people, we rule this economy, not those in Washington. We don’t have to play on their field, we can make them battle on ours. In our terms, we just need to act!

A few years ago in Europe, the truckers stopped their trucks (nationwide) and just sat there. They let their trucks run until they were out of gas. It gummed up the country pretty bad. (It was sometime in 2000 to early 2002.)

There’s also a practice called a “slow down”. It works when a strike isn’t possible. The employees just start moving very slowly. They do their jobs, but they do everything in the most inefficient way possible.

If those of us who owe taxes wait until April 12-15th to mail it in it will rob the gov’t of months of expected revenue.

As a nation, we need to sharply contract spending. Avoid every unnecessary purchase. Put every extra dime in a tax sheltered account. (Like and IRA)

Have you considered running for office? Have you considered getting involved in your local GOP?

How about going door to door in your neighborhood and discussing issues with your neighbors? Listen to them and what they care about. Then explain how the socialists in control of the Congress or your state legislature are damaging that and how freedom and liberty and respect for property rights will make it better for them.

In my opinion, there is only one group that could have any significant effect on Congress and the Nation at large if they go on strike over the ObamaCare bill.

That’s the medical profession.

If doctors, nurses, nurses aids, medical technicians and specialists all went on strike, THAT will get people’s attention real quick!

All other protests will be ignored or dismissed.

Shocking Defeat for Obama As Mass Strike Overwhelms Polls

November 5, 2009 (LPAC)—Behind the Democratic losses of the New Jersey and Virginia governors’ races, is an overwhelming shift in the electorate which expresses the mass strike process underway, uninterrupted, in the US ever since Congress returned to their districts in early August.

First, as to the magnitude of the change. Until Nov. 3, no Republican had won statewide office in New Jersey for more than a decade. Indeed, in partisan terms, the New Jersey Republican Party won its biggest victory, so-called, in 25 years yesterday,— just one year after Obama swept the state with a 15% lead. “So-called” because these were not really Republican victories,— the Republicans are just as clueless. But fully 23% of the electorate switched their votes over that one year, a massive proportion. The shift was even greater in Virginia, another state which Obama won one year ago.

A shocking defeat indeed. LaRouche says that it means Obama’s Nazi-like healthcare reform is doomed at the very moment Pelosi is moving it to the House floor for debate as early as Friday.

The demography of the revolting voters confirms exactly the sociology of the mass-strike as Lyndon LaRouche identified it in his Tuesday evening talk. The center of gravity was just as he identified: the blue-collar voters of Boomer age and older. According to some reports, younger voters stayed home, while the number of over-65 voters jumped significantly in Virginia and rose measurably in NJ. One year ago in Virginia, 21% of the voters were under thirty; this time around, only 10% were.

As to blue-collar: 30% of non-college graduates shifted to the GOP in Virginia, and 15% in New Jersey. Another, related measurement is number of voters “worried” about the economy, who were 85% of the voters in Virginia and 89% in New Jersey,— so much for the “recovery.” Fifty-six percent in New Jersey and 53% in Virginia said they were “very worried” about the economy. Among these “very worried” about the economy, Obama carried 59% in Virginia last year, while Republican McDonnell won 75% yesterday. Obama carried these voters by 61% in New Jersey last year, while Republican Christie won 60% of them yesterday. In short, the mass of the country shifted decisively, leaving the Boomer white-collar elite, which claims to speak for them, behind.

Naturally, the mass strikers are identified as “independents” in polls, since they rightly reject the nominal leaders of both parties, so the polls show the ratio of “independents” skyrocketting, while they massively reject Obama, his Democrats, and incumbents more generally. Now only 20% of the electorate says it’s Republican, and only 33% Democratic. The rest are “independent.” Republican McDonnell is credited with 63% of the “independent” vote in Virginia. Republican Christie won 58% of them in New Jersey against Democratic incumbent Corzine, according to Politico. Yet Corzine had outspent Christie by three to one.

The measure of the defeat can be read from the measure of its denial among the inner Chicago mafia in the White House. One of them, unnamed, (Rahm Emanuel?) could only splutter, “But in all seriousness what does that mean? What is the connection? What does it portend? It’s easy to write it means something. It’s impossible to make a rational, well-informed argument about why.”

You misunderstand how they really get their power over us. It is only by our agreement...they have violated that agreement. Your vote is a year away and it is obvious that they mock you for thinking you will stop them with it. If we strike...no work, no buying it literally can have a large economic impact on the nation. That is a real threat to these tyrants. The message is we don’t have to participate in their economy, they have to play on our field. We make the game, not them. It can be the most powerful act, second only to violence. And much more preferred than that. If we do not stop these guys, there will be violence. And, I agree with a previous post that it will come from the other side...the Tyrants.

One thing I would like to get the word out on is this:

It doesn’t matter if the Democrat in your district is slightly “conservative” or “blue dog” or whatever you want to call it.

In every way possible, A VOTE FOR A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSMAN IS A VOTE FOR PELOSI.

We have to make the house elections in 2010 all about PELOSI. Our goal is: ALL POLITICS IS NATIONAL.

I must disagree. It’s the “independents” who gave us 0 and its the “independents” who gave us VA and NJ and this is a group we cannot afford to alienate. Besides such action would cause divisions within both the conservative movement and the Republican Party.

No, we don’t need this reckless move. We need more and bigger Tea-Party protests. A one million strong march on DC would be enough to insure a filibuster proof majority in the senate and scare a few more House Blue Dogs.

I live in Jersey City. We have a police chief who is elected by a vast majority of bone-head rats. The chief has displayed is grasp of logic by blaming GUN RIGHTS for the fact that some police officers went in half-cocked to arrest known murderers last summer and got themselves killed in the process.

I am enthused by Christie’s win and I will do what I can to contribute to the growing anti-tax sentiment in NJ.

I suggest everyone join together in an online group where you document sending your income taxes in on March 15th, and once the group is big enough and has demonstrated solidarity on filing on March 15th, then it wouldn’t be too difficult to refuse to file at all in lieu of redress of grievances.

We cannot ask others to sacrifice and risk without us doing so as well. This strike and boycott for a day will send a very very strong message to Washington if we actually do it. If we can get a few million people to join this it will work. We can even say we do this strike/boycott one day per week (maybe Wednesdays) until they capitulate. They need us for them to stay in power. They cannot survive without our support, understand that.

Talk via email if you are interested.
We need to organize strikes and boycotts. Civil unrest is called for . The government is now totally on their own and out of control. Ideas welcomed. Lets get all the separate groups out there together under one banner. FR needs to take the lead here . We need someone with great organizational skill to put things together. We need someone on here with excellent writing abilities to
#1 draft a letter we can all send to our “representatives “ telling them in no uncertain terms they have just insured their loss of job
#2 Draft a letter to Rush , Levin , Beck etc. asking for leadership in starting strikes , boycotts and sit ins.
We need a NATIONAL organization to mobilize MILLIONS in aggressive protest.
We need to DO THIS NOW . Get off your asses folks. This is CRITICAL.
OK who is the great writer on FR EMAIL ME I need a letter drafted ..Lets go folks just don’t sit there
