Texas Nationaist Movement - HEALTHCARE RESPONSE
Texas Nationalist Movement ^ | 11-08-2009 | TNM

Posted on 11/08/2009 5:20:06 AM PST by broken_arrow1

NEDERLAND, Texas – Tonight’s passage by Congress of the health-care “reform” bill is another example of government run amok, and should serve to help more Texans realize that their best interests no longer lie with the United States.

“Nobody here is saying that our health-care system is perfect, but the solution doesn’t lie with the federal government,” said Texas Nationalist Movement president Daniel Miller. “The United States Constitution gives Congress no authority whatsoever to run a health care system – just as it also did not give Congress the authority to run the banking, auto and home-loan industries. This government no longer abides by the very document which is supposed to limit its powers.

“They’re trying to drink themselves sober,” Miller added. “We in the Texas Nationalist Movement believe that Texans are fed up with Washington grabbing more and more power every day. It’s time to go our own way.”

Miller reiterated the call he made first on Aug. 29 for Texas Gov. Rick Perry to call a special session of the Legislature to nullify existing federal legislation which infringes on state sovereignty, or to put the matter of Texas independence before the voters of the Lone Star State.

“Our state’s leaders keep telling us that they believe Texas is best run by Texans,” he said. “They keep saying they’re tired of being dictated to by Washington. It’s time for them to live up to their word – or step aside, and let the people of Texas speak for themselves.”

Miller invited Texans and Texas expatriates to log on to the TNM website at www.texasnationalist.com to learn what they can do to continue to exert pressure on state officials to stand up for the people of Texas.

“Everybody’s talking about all the problems of the federal government, but we’re the only organization which has a solution,” he said. “More and more people are realizing that no matter which party is in power, you’re not going to change Washington. Washington is always going to try to grab more power, to take more and more of your money, your rights and your very incentive.

“It’s time Texans stood up and said, ‘Enough! We’ve had enough of the Nanny State and Big Brother. It’s time for us to be free!”

I say it’s time to succeed from the Union if this passes the Senate. Clearly Washington will not listen to the people and is on it’s own agenda.

I have family in Texas so I’m prepared to move there when this revolution begins. This socialistic mess we call America is not the country my grandparents imigrated to! I’m sick of it and I’m sure that when this gets to the Supreme Court, they will do absolutely nothing and just let this nation fall apart.

My thoughts too. If HC passes I will be 100 percent in support of secession. It is irreversible.

Sorry guys, come to Texas and let’s ensure that our kids live free!

but the Senate may have something more to add

I would like to see them add a provision that the President and all Congress members AND their families must depend on any health care plan they pass exclusively.

They can add and subtract before the bill after the bill whenever. That’s why the bill should not pass period.

I know, but at least they could make the statement that they believe what they’re passing will work. Of course, they probably won’t, and we know why.

Admitted by treaty...seems to me all they need do is abrogate it. Wish we here in Florida had that option but the good news is route 10 goes west from Jacksonville.

Even in Texas there are so many people that want other people’s money, secession is probably not a real option. I do not know how this is going to end, but it ain’t good.
I just won a dollar today, After the Traitor in Chief was elected, I made a bet with an employee that this country would not survive the first four year term.

If Obamacare passes Congress, then militant disobedience will be entirely justified.

This is not the America I helped defend for 25 years. Pelosi & company had better start fearing veterans (Lord knows they don’t respect us) because while we were serving our country we knew exactly what we were fighting for and baby, this ain’t it! All those sacrifices for nothing.

I’d move to Texas...so long as they deport all the illegal aliens to the rest of the country and seal the State’s borders!

Get in line and get a green card. We will have strict immigration laws.

You can't get in without speaking the language so you better start practicing your Texas drawl. LOL!

It is time for groups of conservatives to start discussing the impact of a mass move to Texas.

How will Texas receive that? What can we negotiate ahead of time to ensure our liberties will be perserved, etc...

This has to be a big win for Texas if the majority of conservatives in this country moved there.

They would have people that are more than willing to work, strong ethics and of course the vast majority of the brain power in this country.

If the Senate passes this healthcare bill then our free country is gone forever.

I'm ready.

Texas didn't leave the United States.

The United States abandoned and betrayed Texas.

All patriots, please seriously and prayerfully consider relocating to TX immediately.

We need to form an island of freedom in this disgusting sea of tyranny.

How about his, a union of Texas, Louisiana, Miss, Al, Florida and Ga...we have energy, agriculture, fisheries and ports...the rest can have the illegals, including those who need be relocated, welfare, slums, and lefties. We have guns, they have nerf balls. We have capital crime death sentences, they have free release. We have moral church minded people, they can have the abortion on request and holiday tree ceremonies. We have a good deal of the military, they can have the UN.

It will be hard enough for Texas to do it and as a state they have the resources, etc to stand on its own.

What other state would not only be willing to do it and has the resources to maintain it?

We also need to force liberals out of our lives and if most of the conservatives moved to Texas and the laws changed to support conservatives the pinko libs would have to run for cover...outside of Texas borders.

The problem is we don’t have a representative government anymore, neither Democrats nor Republicans represent the people and that isn’t going to change any time soon.

In 2010 America will vote in a bunch of other politicians that serve the party, their special interests, etc and NOT the people and will continue it downward spiral.

Time to find a place that will actually stand up to this tyranny and will do what is says and says what it means.

Yes, yes, yes....lets secede. We have no state income tax, and I would much prefer my federal taxes go to Texas....

We can do it....right down to providing health care and financial aid for the needy. We can do it all!

We would have to have good border control as too many from the other states in the USA would want to immigrate. LOL!

Sounds like a reasonable first diplomatic engagement for the reborn Republic of Texas to me...

I have good friends in both states.

If they can't move to God's Republic, then we'll add them to the allies list...
