Why Obama's Ft. Hood reaction seems so strange - ALAN KEYES
Loyal to Liberty ^ | November 7, 2009 | Alan Keyes

Posted on 11/08/2009 4:42:09 AM PST by EternalVigilance

There are times when even Obama's critics seem to have difficulty putting into words their reaction to his strange behavior. I think that's because they refuse to consider the simple premise that makes sense of it all: He feels no love for the USA. He seems in fact to feel himself to be no part of this country.

The occupant of the office he lays claim to is supposed to represent the body politic. People expect that his reactions will reflect its joys and pains i.e., the joys and pains of the American people as a whole. They expected him to react to the shocking events at Ft. Hood the way a person reacts to a grievous and unexpected wound to his body. Even a minor blow (like stubbing his toe) gets a pained reaction from the whole body. But the Ft. Hood attack is like a razor sharp knife that slips from its proper use to cut off a finger. It can only seem like a minor wound to someone whose gut isn't writhing with pain.

It was reported on a Waco TV station last night that George and Laura Bush visited the wounded soldiers privately on Friday. President Bush deeply cared for the troops.

BO and his missus will put in an appearance at next Tuesday’s memorial service because they are expected to. The TOTUS is already packed, I’m sure, because he’ll use the occasion for another speaking/PR event.

Hopefully, he won’t use this tragedy as a pitch for PelosiCare....pointing out that the survivors all had government health care. I wouldn’t put it past him.

He seems in fact to feel himself to be no part of this country.....

I have always felt that. Even if he was born legally in the US, his upbringing is basically that of a foreigner. Hawaii is far from being a "typical" part of the US. Then in Indonesia, father from Kenya, time spent overseas, his world outlook is not even really western. I am his exact age, and I have more in common with people born at the time from England, Germany, Canada, etc, than I have with 0bama ........He simply can't relate to somebody born in a small Midwestern town. He tried to latch on to being "black" or "African American" by moving to Chicago, but he never really fit in there either IMO.

I decided months ago that the monster is cold & heartless.

You are ahead of the curve. He is the most callous individual ever to hold the office, and without the almost impenetrable propaganda screen provided by his vast network of mentors and enablers, he would also be one of the most disliked.

When I am asked directly what I think about Barack Obama (and that is not often, since I now avoid associating with self-evident communists), I tell people that I think he is simply an evil SOB; if I get some sort of guff, I add that I meant it figuratively and literally.

I don't say that about many, but he's a "special" guy.

re: They kill innocents who can’t fight back

We should refer to these killers in every instance as cowards. Dwell on the cowardice they display over and over. Muslims are very conscious of their ‘image’. Take it as a personal insult if you question anything about their warped religion. Call them out as cowards and point out how little courage it takes to kill innocent women and children.

IMHO, even Muslims who are peace loving, and I meant both of them, practice a very contrary religion. I would not want to worship a god so weak that he couldn't save me if some other human buried me in a pig's skin. I want a god who can save me regardless of what the world does to me.

I never hear the word ‘coward’ used in discussing or reporting a suicide bombing or the beheading of a captive. It's time we use it, often and in a very pointed manner.

He may care about certain groups within the US population—African Americans, gays, “progressives” of the William Ayers variety. Recall his reaction to Professor Gates’ arrest...he did show some emotion in denouncing the Cambridge Police Department. But maybe it is true that he only cares about himself.

You hit the nail on the head.

To your point, after this week's carnage you can see Muslims justifying the Ft. Hood mass murder because it was an attack on troops, on a military base, not on civilians.

Good one by Allen Keys

I knew this long before election day-—
That 0bama was a foreign import
A stranger to the USA
A stranger to what an American is
His upbringing was too foreign with time spent growing up in Indonesia with a Muslim father. 0bama had two Muslim fathers who both abandoned him. 0bama grew up in the extremely multi-cultural Hawaii

And his mother had little use for America, spending most of her life in Indonesia. What do you think she passed on to him?

If a nation or group at war with the USA had attacked this location, it would indeed have been a perfectly legitimate military target.

Hasan was supposed to be on our side.

All liberals see themselves as not really part of the US. That’s why they can so blithely run around apologizing for American sins.

Their “apologies” are really denunciations of America. By the very fact of their making this apology they exclude themselves from the guilty group.

It would be nice to actually have a President who acts like the President of the entire country. Instead, he continues to represent only those in his small ideological world....even after the country voted for him. Bizarre.

The only explanation I can think of is that he thinks he tricked the voters into it and has no respect for them because of it.

It's not just the Muslims, it's the entire left. I've truly never seen such heartlessness as they displayed towards the victims in this massacre. The military, and the U.S., is the agressor, so never to be pitied. The Muslim murderer is a a victim class, and to be defended.

The left obsesses on how culturally sensitive they are to murderous minorities, and totally ignores the agony and suffering of the victims and their families.

The callousness is breathtaking.

So much of Obama’s behavior makes perfect sense when you realize he has no love for America.

His critics do not refuse to consider that he feels no love for this country. His critics KNOW he hates this country!

I’m just saying....
