Tomorrow, the House of Representatives will vote on a 2,000 page bill to give the federal government the power to micromanage the health care of every single American. The bill will no doubt pass. It will raise your taxes, steal your freedom, invade your privacy, and ration your health care. Even the Republicans have introduced their version of Obamacare Lite. It, too, if passed, will compel employers to provide coverage, bribe the states to change their court rules, and tell insurance companies whom to insure.
We do not have two political parties in this country, America. We have one party; called the Big Government Party. The Republican wing likes deficits, war, and assaults on civil liberties. The Democratic wing likes wealth transfer, taxes, and assaults on commercial liberties. Both parties like power; and neither is interested in your freedoms. Think about it. Government is the negation of freedom. Freedom is your power and ability to follow your own free will and your own conscience. The government wants you to follow the will of some faceless bureaucrat.

I can’t believe the bill will ever get though the Senate in a form that in any way resembles this House bill. If it does, I’ll drop my ins. coverage and they can send my ass to prison. The Left is so fond of civil disobedience, but they ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

I have been thinking about what the Democrats did tonight. I have never been so mad in all my life for them passing this but I am actually glad they did pass this HC legislation. Let me explain. The American electorate has been in a drunken stupor for so long. We have what we have in office because nobody is feeling any discomfort.
After the American people see what was passed and what it will do for their quality of life, it will finally get people to act because they will see their quality of life plummet. The Democrats have no idea what hit them last Tuesday and they will have no idea what will hit them in November of 2010. This is their attack on Pearl Harbor and you know what happened to Japan after this act.
They are so arrogant and blind that they think this is a victory for the left and their power. This vote was the beginning of the end for the left and the Democrats. We need to continue to pray, fight and act. We will prevail. We will takeover again this gov’t “for and by the people.”

As a small business owner, now that this thing has passed, I will begin the task of determining who I will now have to fire to reduce my liability should this thing pass the Senate. I imagine that other business owners (we employ 70% of Americas workers) are thinking the same thing right now. There is NO WAY any additional funds are coming out of MY pocket to give to these AS***LES (CONgress, that is). I have a very good group of employees tright now. I love all of them. But the writing is on the wall. Thus, I will have no choice but to add to 0bummer’s 10.2% unemployment! Congrats CONgress!

Can't say for sure but backroom deals are made. He is in a heavily democratic district. Maybe the party let him vote for it knowing they wouldn't win even with his vote.

I don’t think there is any turning back now. I feel this is the last straw in breaking the back of our economy as we know it.
I blame the situation we’re in on both republicans and democrats. I blame the insurance industry and the pharmacutical industry. I blame Obama. I blame illegal aliens I even blame the allowing of advertising of meds on t.v. In the state of Maine our health care system is a mess. Six years ago it was cheaper to insure the whole family than it is to insure my husband and I now. We have so many people trying to get in Maine care which is free to low income people that they have a waiting list. If you become un-employed, which is happening to many, you can get Cobra which is equal to what you will get in un-employment checks. You end up spending all your money on health insurance.
Our kids, college grads are having a hard time finding good jobs. There rents are so high they can’t afford health insurance. They don’t get health insurance because they need to eat and pay their college loans. And then there is the debit cards which does not allow for any mistakes...or there is an overdraft. Which banks love...then the credit ratings go down..I could go on and on...
Bring me back to the horse and buggy days...

Screw civil disobedience, if this passes against the will of the majority of Americans, those collectivist thieves in Congress that voted for it should be frog marched off the hill after being tar and feathered and told never to return. Honestly, since the military is about 70% conservative, so far, I have hope that in the worst case, they still fail. That’s why I’m ambivalent about passage of that manifesto health bill. They are pressing the issue way to fast, I hope. But I still fear.

Republican do not “like” war. The party doesn’t seem to mind deficits, but they’re amatures compared to the democrats.
And how are the republicans the ones assaulting civil liberties? Last I checked, it was the democrats who were trying to get around that pesky 1st Amendment.
I do like the Judge and I love Glenn Beck, but sometimes their libertarian views just seem too narrow minded.
I’m about to register independent because I feel that it’s the mismanagement of government when the republicans actually *had* the power that set us up for this situation. They were lazy and spineless and didn’t communicate with the public.
